Chapter 61 Ms. DeRoss, Are You Interested?
Although it was difficult to secure the project with the Roscente Group, it wasn't entirely impossible. With some tactics, such as sleeping with a high-ranking executive, there might be a chance of getting their signature on the contract.
While this project was important, Emily would rather not collaborate with the Roscente Group and also didn't want Haley to work at The DeRoss Group...
Haley was like a poised wild wolf. If she had entered the company, the DeRoss family would never have found peace.
"Haley, the Roscente Group is notoriously tough. I think you shouldn't waste your time," Emily said, "If you really want to do something for the DeRoss Group, you can try contacting Mr. Brown."
Haley raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Ten Browns and Hills families combined can't compare to The Roscente Group for this project. I will have The Roscente Group's people signing on the contract within three days."
Her tone carried a hint of arrogance.
Few people in the room believed her, but they still held a glimmer of hope.
If they indeed reached a collaboration with Roscente Group, DeRoss Group wouldn't have to worry about clients for the next six months.
Taylor spoke first, "Three days seems too rushed. One month should be sufficient."
"If Haley can really win over the Roscente Group, it means she does have the ability," Smith added, "Being able to secure such a challenging major client means Haley is fully capable of taking on the position of Client Relations Manager."
The discussion had reached this point, and Emily had no room to object anymore.
She took a deep breath. "Haley, business negotiations are not child's play. I hope you think carefully before making a decision."
She couldn't give Haley any opportunity to enter the DeRoss Group. Even if there were only a 0.1% chance, she would snuff it out.
"If I can't secure The Boden Group within three days, then I will no longer attend shareholder meetings," Haley said calmly. "But if I succeed, I hope all the shareholders will keep their promise and make me the Client Relations Manager."
Emily remained speechless.
She opened her mouth to say something but couldn't find the words.
A woman's intuition told her that Haley would definitely succeed.
She wanted to stop her, but she had no idea what to say.
She heard several shareholders agreeing, and even Frank said he would give Haley a chance. The matter was settled.
Haley gathered her belongings and walked out of the meeting room.
In reality, she only needed to make a phone call to sign the contract with the Roscente Group.
Saying three days was just to give Emily some time to prepare. She hoped Emily wouldn't disappoint her.
Just as she stepped out of the meeting room, Emily caught up with her. "Haley, wait, I need to talk to you."
Haley turned around, her crimson lips curved into a sarcastic smile. "There's no one else here now. Let's not pretend to have a sisterly talk."
"How about we make a deal?" Emily lifted her chin. "Name your price for the shares you hold."
"Oh? Are you trying to buy my shares?" Haley seemed slightly interested, and she smirked. "The DeRoss Group's stock price has dropped significantly. My shares won't fetch much of a premium. If I sell them for one billion dollars, will you buy them?"
The overall market value of The DeRoss Group was less than three billion dollars. Asking for one billion dollars for twenty-five percent of the shares was indeed far-fetched.
Emily, however, nodded and gritted her teeth. "One billion dollars is fine, but besides that, you must agree to one condition."
