Chapter 423
Haley had never been to an amusement park after she had children.
Todd didn't like them, and Angela was scared of strangers, so this was the first time she had gone somewhere like this with other kids.
She held Angela protectively in her arms, but when they arrived at the amusement park, the little girl struggled to get down on her own.
"Let's play with bubbles together, Angela!"
Owen blew the bubbles, and Angela chased after them with a pure smile on her face.
Haley also laughed from the bottom of her heart.
The doctor who used to treat Angela was right. Only love could help a child with autism come out of their world.
"Keith, Todd, what are you two still standing there for? Let's go play together!"
Haley had four tickets in her hand, and they could do whatever they wanted in the amusement park, but there were a lot of people, so they had to wait in line for each ride.
Keith and Todd were both introverted, mature for their age, and not very interested in these amusement facilities. But when they saw how happy Angela was, they became somewhat restless, so in the end, they all went to do whatever Angela wanted.
When they finished with all the rides, it was after five in the evening.
All four children were drenched in sweat and had a great time.
"Alright, let's go home now. I’ll bring you back here again when we have time, okay?"
Owen was excited and shouted, "Yeah! Let's come back tomorrow! This amusement park is so much fun!"
Haley smiled wryly.
She was already exhausted, and if they came again tomorrow, she wouldn't be able to handle it anymore!
Todd had been introverted, and Angela was quiet, so she hadn't understood how much trouble loud kids could be.
She had only realized why some people didn't want to have any more children after having one today, because the more children there were, the harder they were to handle!
Under Owen's influence, Angela and Todd, who were usually obedient, had completely let loose today.
Haley put all four children in the car, carefully fastened their seat belts, and started the engine to drive home.
The children were all tired, and they fell asleep as soon as they got in the car.
When they arrived home, it was completely dark. Haley opened the back door and woke up the children one by one.
"Wake up. Let's go inside and change your shoes. I’ll make dinner."
Keith wasn’t sleeping; he was just resting his eyes. He was the first one to wake up, and as he was about to get out of the car, he suddenly saw a familiar figure standing at the gate of the villa.
He jolted and sat up straight. "Ivan’s here!"
"What? Ivan’s here? Where?" Owen opened his eyes in a daze. "Quick, Keith, find a place to hide. We can't let Ivan catch us and take us back!"
He bent down and tried to hide under the seat.
Haley turned around and finally noticed a figure standing at the entrance of the villa.
Since the yard wasn’t lit, it was pitch black at the entrance, and she hadn't even notice that a car was parked there with someone standing in front of it.
The man's silhouette was sharp and intense in the darkness.
Haley tried her best to ignore the figure and softly said, "Keith, Owen, you guys get out of the car first..."
This was the first time Keith had done something so impulsive, and he felt guilty as he looked at the figure in the distance. His palms started to sweat.
While everyone was at a standstill, Angela, who was sitting on the other side, pushed open the car door and ran out.
A sweet and soft voice echoed in the night sky. "Daddy!"
