Chapter 597
"Don't cry, I'll take you to clean your face," Martin said. He strode over and reached out to pull Angela into his arms.
Although she cursed Ivan as a big villain, Angela still wanted a hug from Ivan. She hugged Martin's neck and cried loudly.
Martin held Angela and walked directly into the bathroom, lifting his foot to kick the door closed.
The three boys left outside glanced at each other.
Owen's lips moved, his voice choked up. "Why do I feel like Dad has become scarier than before?"
"I feel like Dad is acting strange." Keith furrowed his brow. "Although Dad used to be strict, he never looked at us like that. It's as if..."
As if he was watching a few annoying and ridiculous clowns.
Todd sneered. "Perhaps this is his true nature."
Having deceived Haley with gentleness and patience, as well as deceiving Todd and Angela when they finally accepted the Winston family, Ivan revealed his true colors.
Todd should be grateful that Ivan was willing to comfort Angela.
Otherwise, Todd was truly afraid that Angela would go back to being withdrawn as she used to be.
Just then, Angela's crying could be heard from the bathroom.
Todd's face darkened. He quickly rushed over and kicked the door open.
Then, Todd saw Angela standing on the ground, completely soaked, her pink dress clinging wetly to her body.
"What did you do to Angela?"
Todd walked over and shielded Angela behind him.
Keith and Owen also rushed over, glaring at Martin in front of them.
Martin casually put his hand in his pocket and shrugged. "I was just washing her face and accidentally got her clothes wet. What's the big deal?"
Todd's eyes were full of anger. He took a deep breath, suppressed his rage, and tore off a nearby towel to help Angela dry her hair and body.
Todd's movements were extremely gentle and careful, afraid of making Angela cry again.
"Angela, don't cry, I'll take you to buy ice cream later." Owen awkwardly tried to comfort her.
Keith looked at Martin and said softly, "Dad used to personally bathe Angela, and it never ended up this messy."
With just that sentence, Martin's heart tightened again.
These little brats were really too clever.
Could they really have seen through his ruse?
Although Ivan was dead and Martin had no worries, if these kids joined forces to cause trouble for him, it could bring him a lot of trouble.
Martin rubbed his chin and said lightly, "I've been too busy with work and haven't slept well for a few days. My hands are a bit shaky."
Martin squatted down, trying to soften his voice, "Angela, I didn't mean to. Can you forgive me?"
Angela blinked her big eyes, her bright eyes as clear as water. Suddenly she smiled sweetly, saying, "I've already forgiven you, Daddy."
