Chapter 112 Mommy’s Only Ones
Todd's fingers tightened.
This was the first time, as far as he could remember, that Mommy spoke to him with a reproachful tone.
All because of Owen.
Todd pursed his lips and lowered his head, admitting his mistake,"I'm sorry, Mommy, I was wrong."
"Todd, you go downstairs and tell your sister a story. I'll help Owen with his shower."
Haley carried Owen into the bathroom and closed the door behind her.
Todd stared at the door for a moment, then turned around and went downstairs.
Ten minutes later, Haley came downstairs, holding Owen who had finished his shower. "Todd, I let him wear your clothes. You don't mind, do you?"
Todd obediently responded,"Owen, this outfit suits you well. Consider it an apology gift from me."
Owen turned his head away.
He didn't want to wear Todd's clothes at all, but if he didn't, he would either be naked or have to wear Angela's skirt.
Haley lightly tapped his little head,"Todd has apologized to you. What should you say?"
Owen hmphed softly.
There's no way he would say "It's okay!"
Two minutes later...
Under Haley's reproachful gaze, he reluctantly said,"It's okay, but you can't treat me like that again!"
Todd nodded,"I know now that you don’t know how to turn on the hot water. Next time, I'll help you."
Owen: "..."
He completely missed the point!
This Todd was truly scheming, not at all like Haley!
Angela, on the other hand, was much cuter.
Owen snuggled up to Angela like a loyal dog.
Haley sat down next to Todd and said with a soft voice,"Todd, I know you don't like him."
"I don't..."
Todd was interrupted by Haley,"I am your mommy, I can somewhat guess what you're thinking. Owen is actually quite simple-minded, not much of a schemer, and he is good to Angela. Angela doesn't reject him either. Isn't it nice to have one more person who likes Angela?"
Todd looked at Owen, who was playing puzzles with Angela not far away, and pursed his lips.
Owen and Angela were half-siblings, so Angela wouldn't reject him, of course.
But it was precisely because of Owen's identity that he couldn't let Owen get close to his sister and mommy.
Todd looked down, fingers intertwined, and remained silent for a while before saying,"Mommy, I understand."
Haley rubbed his hair and smiled,"Don't worry about mommy being taken away. You and Angela are mommy's only ones, and my love for you is also exclusive. Don't frown anymore, go play with Angela."
Todd nodded and went to the playmat in the living room.
As soon as he approached, Owen cautiously hid behind Angela.
Todd's hard-fought calmness plummeted again. He lowered his voice and said,"You said you would protect Angela. Is this your idea of protecting her?"
Encountering danger, he didn't stand in front of Angela but hid behind her...
Owen awkwardly touched his nose and hmphed softly,"You're dangerous to me but not to Angela. What's wrong with me hiding behind her?"
Todd didn't say anything and sat next to Angela.
Owen became somewhat afraid when he saw him.
The threats in the bathroom earlier sounded ridiculous, but he always felt that Todd was capable of such things.
He subtly distanced himself from Todd by several steps.
Just then, the doorbell outside the villa rang.
