Chapter 795

After Haley left the preschool with the kids, she drove straight to the Martinez family.

The Winston family covered up her disappearance over twenty days, yet her grandmother, Amara Martinez, presumably knew what was necessary.

Haley arrived at the Martinez villa and, as she exited the car, a servant attending to Amara approached to whisper, "Mrs. DeRoss, Mrs. Martinez has been worried about you for so many days. She has no appetite and cries everyday, losing a lot of weight.

Haley nodded and led the children inside.

Amara was sunbathing on a lounge chair on the balcony.

"Great-grandmother, I miss you so much!"

Owen dashed over and embraced Amara's neck, acting spoiled.

"Great-grandmother, I like you the most!" Angela said softly, leaning against Amara's knee.

Keith handed over a box of soft cookies. "Great-grandmother, Mommy made these for you."

"Great-grandmother, let me feed you a bite." Todd picked up a piece of cake and brought it to Amara's mouth.

Amara originally wanted to keep a stern face and give Haley a good scolding, yet she couldn't help but smile due to the children's antics. She opened her mouth and ate a piece of the cookie.

Haley sat next to Amara. "Grandma, I'm sorry. I was wrong."

Amara snorted. "Then tell me, what did you do wrong?"

"Great-grandmother, don't be mad at Mommy. Mommy is very pitiful." Owen pleaded.

Amara waved her hand. "You kids go out and play. I have something to discuss with your mommy. No eavesdropping!"

Keith obediently led the kids out.

Haley lowered her head honestly. "Before I went abroad, I should have called you first, Grandma, so you wouldn't worry. I really know I was wrong. It won't happen again."

She left in a hurry, fearing Martin would trace her to the Martinez family and sabotage the Martinez Group.

"Wrong!" Amara looked at her. "You should have come to me right after you had emotional issues with Ivan rather than enduring everything alone, yet went abroad with the kids secretly when you failed to endure! Haley, remember, you are not alone. You have family, and your family can protect you. No matter what happens in the future, please always tell me, okay?"

Haley nodded repeatedly. "I will definitely tell you first next time, Grandma."

"Now, can you tell me what exactly happened between you and Ivan?" Amara asked in a soft tone.

Everything about Martin and the Hinterlands was too sinful and dangerous. Haley didn't want Amara to worry.

She smiled lightly. "I misunderstood that Ivan had another lover outside.I ran abroad with the kids in a fury.. He personally came to me, explaining again and again. Now I believe he truly loves me and could never have another lover. Our relationship is very stable now, and this won't happen again."

Amara tapped her forehead. "You seem calm, but when it comes to relationship issues, you lose your composure."

Haley obediently accepted the scolding.

Ten minutes later, Amara finally changed the subject. "Haley, if you have time, go see your dad and sister."

Haley paused. "My dad? My sister?"

She didn't immediately remember who her dad and sister were. A few seconds later, she realized who Amara was talking about.

Haley forced a smile. "I have nothing to do with the Deross family anymore."
