Chapter 390

Ivan took some papers from the bedside table and handed them over.

Todd accepted with a skeptical look, glanced at the papers, and was immediately taken aback. "You're giving me a company?"

"As I said, what Keith and Owen have, you'll have too," Ivan stated matter-of-factly. "I'll arrange an assistant for you. Just give your assistant your orders."

Owen's eyes widened in surprise.

For quite some time, Todd had been requesting Ivan to provide him with a company, and now Ivan had finally handed one to Todd.

Ivan's love for him had diminished. It had shifted to Todd.

This realization stirred an immense sense of urgency within Owen.

Initially, Haley stood at the door, but as she heard Ivan's words, she instinctively walked over to the bed.

With a glance at the papers, she could tell this was an internet software technology company, not at all suitable for a child. Todd was only a little over four years old, and she wanted him to grow up carefree. Managing a company could wait until Todd was eighteen.

Just as Haley was about to speak, Keith, who had been silent for a while, suddenly chimed in.

He bore the strongest resemblance to Ivan, and when he was silent, he looked even more like a miniature carbon copy of him.

He spoke up, "So, can I call you Mommy too?"

As soon as the words left his mouth, his ears turned red, and he sheepishly looked away.

Haley suddenly found the moment rather endearing.

She crouched down to meet Keith's gaze, a gentle smile on her face. "Of course, you can call me Mommy. I'm your mother, after all."

Keith's eyes suddenly stung with unshed tears. His nose felt sour, his eyes were red-rimmed, and an inexplicable wave of emotion churned in his chest. Overwhelmed, he lunged into Haley's arms and whispered, "Mommy..."

"There, there, it's all right, Keith. It's all right..." Haley hugged him, feeling utterly content. All four of her children were alive and thriving, and her life was finally complete without any regrets.

"Haley, I want a hug too!" Owen joined in, wriggling into Haley's embrace.

Confused but not wanting to be left out, Angela toddled over and tried to clamber onto Haley's back. But her legs were too short, and she struggled until Todd, with a resigned smile, came over to help hoist her up.

All four children surrounded Haley in a loving mob. At that moment, Ivan first experienced what could only be described as a chill of exclusion. Although he had technically gained two children, now it felt as if he had none.

"Ahem, ahem!" He coughed loudly a couple of times, but the children were making such a ruckus they didn't even hear him.

"Buzz, buzz, buzz—" Haley's phone vibrated with an incoming call.

"Owen, stop hanging on my neck, Todd, please get Angela down, Keith, go stand over there..." Once the kids finally let go, Haley could breathe properly and pulled out her phone to see a video call from Thomas.
