Chapter 934

Back in the day, they never stooped to dirty tricks, even when times were tough. But now, with the fight for succession, the Lumi Group had gone downhill.

"The current executive director of the Lumi Group, driven by her own desires, has trashed the company's reputation and put its employees at risk. So..." Bark started slowly, "Hollis is out as CEO of the Lumi Group, and Cauth will step in for now. Also, the next successor of the Lumi Group will be Haley."

"Grandpa, Bryan's been handling the resort project all along. He'd make a better successor." Bryan and Cauth were about to protest, but Haley just smiled. "I'm swamped with my husband and kids. No way I can manage a big company. Bryan, if you need anything, just ask me. Do your best."

Bryan looked conflicted. "Haley."

"No need to thank me. I'm heading out." Haley grabbed her handbag and walked out.

Everyone in the office was stunned by the turn of events. They'd only ever seen siblings fight tooth and nail for power and inheritance. Haley stepping aside so willingly was a first.

Compared to Ava, Haley's image shot up in their eyes.

A few senior leaders started whispering, "Ms. Deross did all this for Mr. Bryan Lumi. It's amazing how strong their bond is, even as half-siblings."

"Compared to Ms. Evans, who grew up with Mr. Bryan Lumi, Ms. Deross's actions are really admirable."

"Ms. Lumi and Ms. Evans used to say Ms. Deross came back to the Lumi Family for power. Bet they're eating their words now."

"Shh, Ms. Lumi looks really upset."

"What can she do to us now that she's been kicked out?"

Lester and Maurice, who had crossed Hollis and weren't valued in the company, felt a sense of vindication.

After working their butts off for years, they didn't want to leave in disgrace, so they took a gamble on Haley.

Haley fought through adversity, and with Bryan's persistence, they finally saw a glimmer of hope.

Once Bryan became the successor, they wouldn't just be department managers anymore.

As the mood shifted in the conference room, Hollis felt a surge of resentment. Those who once respected her were now openly talking about her right in front of her.

A wave of anger surged through Hollis. She pushed her chair back and stormed out of the conference room.

Bark shook his head. "Cauth, you should spend more time talking to Hollis. She's got some mental issues."

Cauth sneered, "When we were competing, she used tricks against me. I didn't care about the successor title back then, so I let it slide. I didn't think she'd still be up to her old tricks after all these years. She's got issues, but I can't get through to her."
