Chapter 465

The CEO's exclusive office is on the top floor of the Vanguard Corporation building.

As soon as Ivan arrived, he caught the attention of several secretaries who were often handling various documents and naturally knew Ivan.

A female secretary approached and respectfully asked, "Mr. Winston, are you here to see Mr. Zephyr? Mr. Zephyr is suddenly busy."

Ivan's sharp gaze fell on the secretary, each word as sharp as a knife. "Where's Haley?"

The secretary shivered in fear.

She used to think that Mr. Zephyr's gaze was particularly terrifying until she realized what true fear is when she saw Ivan's gaze.

Without realizing it, she retreated a step and uttered with a hint of anxiety, "I noticed Haley's arrival, but her departure escaped me... perhaps, just perhaps, she's still in the conference room, awaiting Mr. Zephyr's return."

"And where might I find this conference room?"

With a swift extension of her arm, the secretary directed toward the corridor's far end.

Ivan walked over quickly and kicked open the meeting room door, but no one was inside.

There was an unfinished cup of coffee on the coffee table, and on the right side of the sofa, there was a familiar handbag.

Ivan's pupils contracted sharply. He walked over and picked up Haley's handbag. Her cell phone was also inside, but it had been in call mode the whole time.

The entry in the cell phone's contacts was succinct, just two words: Mr. Zephyr.

Ivan's expression grew stormy. He grasped the phone and spoke with icy finality, "Martin Winston, this is your final opportunity. Tell me, where is Haley?"

"Why not take a stab in the dark?"

The laughter that echoed through the phone carried a sinister chill.

"My dear brother, you've come all the way here, but how come you can't see Haley? She's just less than ten meters away from you."

Ivan narrowed his eyes, scanning the meeting room. It was less than twenty square meters, with two rows of sofas, a coffee table, and a towering bookshelf.

He hung up the phone directly and walked toward the bookshelf.

At that moment, two security guards entered the meeting room from outside. "Mr. Winston, even though you're the CEO of the Winston Group, you can't just barge into the office of the CEO of Vanguard Corporation without reason. Please leave!"

Ivan didn't even turn his head. "Get lost!"

The two security guards glanced at each other and took steps forward. They were about to grab Ivan's shoulders.

The man turned his head abruptly and threw one of the security guards over his shoulder, slamming him onto the ground. He stared coldly at the other guard and said, "Get lost now!"

The other bodyguard knew he was no match and quickly fled, supporting his companion.

Ivan's face was filled with a cold intensity as he walked over and locked the door to the guest room.

He didn't have time to deal with these people.

He walked back to the bookshelf and pushed it with force, but no matter how hard he tried, it wouldn't budge.

His eagle-like eyes scanned every ornament on the bookshelf, and finally, they landed on a sculpture with the word "Martin" carved on it.

He was about to twist the sculpture when suddenly, the bookshelf in front of him split open, much like a door.

A doctor wearing a white coat walked out from inside and said, "Mr. Zephyr, it's over. You are not Mr. Zephyr, so where is Mr. Zephyr?"

The doctor looked around the entire guest room but didn't see Sterling anywhere.

Ivan raised his gaze to the room behind the door, where a resting area was revealed. On a large bed lay a woman, Haley!

He didn't care about anything else and immediately rushed in.

The woman was sleeping soundly on the bed, her face rosy and glossy, showing no signs of anything unusual.

Ivan coldly asked, "What did you do to her?"

The doctor nervously replied, "Nothing!"

As he spoke, he tried to leave.

Ivan took a step forward and grabbed the back of his collar, saying, "Looks like you're looking for a fight!"
