Chapter 203
Haley led two children into the hospital room. The gloomy Owen perked up with joy.
"Haley, I love you so much," he burst out, "I was just thinking about you, and here you are with Angela. I'm so happy!"
Haley couldn't help but smile, "It was Todd's idea to come visit you. He was worried you’d feel lonely on your own.”
Owen pouted skeptically, "No way, he loves to pick on me. Why would he want to visit..."
"It's true," Haley whispered, gently patting the little guy's head, "You know, Todd is really worried about you. He's just too shy to admit it."
Owen sneaked a glance upwards, locking eyes with Todd.
Unflinchingly, Todd said coolly, "As long as you care about my sister, I guess I can try to like you, too."
"Like I need you to like me!" Owen turned his head away, pouting.
Yet, the tips of his ears turned a telltale red, betraying his cheerful mood.
Todd sat down by the bed, staring at the recuperating patient, "Where's your dad? Why isn't he at the hospital?"
"He said he'd come by this afternoon, but who knows when he'll actually be done with work," Owen grumbled with a shrug.
Todd checked his watch and remained silent.
"Lunchtime, Owen!" Alfred announced as he entered with a tray.
Seeing Haley, his face brightened with a smile, "Haley, dear, it’s so nice to see you. Owen was talking about you all night long."
"Alfred, please come here!" Owen said excitedly. "This is Angela, the little girl I told you about. Isn't she super cute and pretty?"
Alfred's gaze fell on Angela's face, melting at the sight, "Oh my, she's adorable... Wait a minute..."
He scrutinized Angela's features, perplexed, "She looks a bit like Haley...”
With her cherubic cheeks, Angela didn't strike an immediate resemblance, but the more Alfred looked, the more she appeared to be a miniature Haley.
Owen covered his mouth and laughed, "Alfred, guess why Angela looks so much like Haley."
Alfred glanced at Haley and then at Angela, speaking hesitantly, "No way, it can't be..."
He'd been the Winston family butler for over forty years, and it was only once he'd seen Ivan show any interest in a woman.
He had always thought there might be a spark between Haley and Ivan...
Sure, being Keith and Owen’s aunt made the relationship a tad complicated.

"Ha, Alfred," Owen burst into laughter, "Haley is Angela and Todd's mom."
"What?!" Alfred's gaze drifted over to the silent Todd beside him, and he was completely taken aback.
Did Haley actually have two kids? Twins, by the looks of it?
Hold on. He needed a moment to process this.
Alfred recalled the rumors he’d come across online and the news reports from four years ago claiming Haley had given birth to stillborn twins.
