Chapter 906

"Todd's just the start. If you don't listen up, I'll make you send all four kids packing. But hey, I care about you. How could I stand seeing you hurt? Let's meet at Winston Villa now."

Haley was floored. The kids were all at Winston Villa. How did Martin get there?

Haley's eyes darted around, about to say something.

"Haley, you better not tell Ivan where I am, or I'll chop off Todd's hand and gift-wrap it for you."

Haley shuddered, knowing Martin could totally do it. She jumped up.

Ivan quickly wrapped his arm around her waist. "Haley, what's up?"

"I'm heading out. Don't follow me." Haley threw on a down jacket, grabbed her keys, and bolted.

Ivan squinted. After Haley's car got about three hundred feet away, he tailed her. He made a call while driving. "Get a few more guys to follow me."

"Mr. Winston, Martin's trail went cold near Winston Villa."

Ivan glanced at the familiar road outside the window, the only way to Winston Villa.

For the past two days, his guys had combed every inch of Watertown, but Martin was a ghost. Was he hiding in plain sight?

With Brenda there, Martin could totally hide. But Ivan wasn't giving him any more chances.

Ivan floored it, sticking close to Haley's car.

Haley gripped the wheel, Martin's voice echoing in her head. Before, he'd just repeat one command each time. This time, he kept yapping.

"Ivan's really something, turning Watertown upside down for me. But finding me ain't that easy.

Watertown's not safe anymore. Haley, come with me. I'm waiting at Winston Villa. Let's bail together.

I've done all kinds of bad stuff, but my love for you is just as strong as Ivan's."

Hearing this, Haley felt nothing but revulsion. She must've done something awful in a past life to be stuck with a nutjob like Martin.

Haley sped up, leaving Ivan in the dust. The car screeched to a halt at Winston Villa's entrance.

At Winston Villa, Brenda went to her room to change and saw someone lounging on the balcony.

She was startled, then recognized him. "Martin, is that you?"

Her voice was shaky and excited, tears instantly welling up.

Seeing her other son alive, she was over the moon. She quickly walked over and pulled Martin inside from the balcony. "Why'd you come back? Does Ivan know you're here?"

"Of course he knows. He's scouring the globe for me right now." Martin touched his upper jaw. "You gonna turn me in?"

Brenda quickly glanced behind her, then rushed to lock the door. "Martin, I don't want to talk about the beef between you and your brother anymore. I want you both to be okay. Leave Watertown and never come back, alright?"

"After tasting the light, you think I'd go back to the dark?" Martin chuckled softly. "Between Ivan and me, you can only pick one."
