Haley called him over and took Keith's hand, leading him to the nearby garden.
Keith kept his eyes lowered, unsure how to explain everything that had happened thismorning.
He knew Haley would come to ask him, but all day long, he hadn't come up with a good excuse to tell her.
"Keith, do you trust me?"
Haley placed her hand on his shoulder, locking eyes with him.
Keith nodded gently. "I do."
Haley asked again, "So, between daddy now and mommy now, who do you trust more?"
Without hesitation, Keith replied, "Mom."
"That's good," Haley smiled reassuringly. "I'm going to ask you a few questions next, can you answer me truthfully?"
Keith fell silent.
He knew what Haley was going to ask, but could he really tell her those things?
"You're smart, you must have felt that something was off with your dad recently, right? Actually, I've been looking for reasons too. I have a bold guess in my mind, but I can't tell you yet," Haley spoke softly. "I've figured out most things in our daily life, but I can't access the company's files and projects, so I have to ask you."
"Keith, you're a good kid; you wouldn't have rummaged through Ivan's desk for no reason. I guess you also felt that something was off, right?"

Keith nestled in Haley's embrace, nodding silently.

Owen ran out of the villa, his face full of jealousy.
He quickly rushed over and threw himself into Haley's arms. "Mom, I want a hug too!"
