Chapter 115 Why Do You Always Bully Me?

Mary turned to Laura, "Ms. Griffin, do you really believe him? He can't even protect you and uses me as a shield. Isn't that ridiculous?"

Mary had overheard everything, leaving her stunned and speechless at Matthew's shamelessness.

He loved Laura enough to drag innocent Mary into this mess.

All her anxiety and nightmares were because of him!

If she couldn't live well, then no one should!

She was alone and fearless of death. They could join her in it!

Resentment brewed in Mary's heart, adding bitterness towards Matthew.

Laura's gaze turned cold. "Ms. Smith, you have no idea of the whole picture. Don't jump to conclusions. The Montagu family may seem glamorous, but Matthew had a tough time during these years. I can't help him, but I hope you don't make it worse."

Mary sneered, "Afraid I'll make it worse? Then let him divorce me!"

Mary used to feel she owed Laura because it cost Laura a leg to save Matthew, while Mary refused to divorce him.

But now, she was willing to divorce.

It was Matthew who didn't play along!

Mary didn't owe them anything!

Mary stepped closer, her clear eyes fixed on them. "You two are so in love; what a pity you're not together! How about divorcing me now? I promise you won't see me again. How about that?" She turned to Matthew as she spoke.

Seeing his cold expression, Mary smirked, "No? Matthew, are you trying to protect Ms. Griffin, or are you reluctant to part with me?"

"Mary, enough!" Matthew's tone was icy, and he suppressed his anger. He pulled Laura behind him, grabbed Mary's wrist, and led her outside.

"Laura, I'll have someone take you back." With that, he didn't even glance at Laura.

Mary struggled, "Let go of me, you jerk!"

Matthew had embraced Laura and made promises to her, and now he was entangled with Mary again. What was all this?

Opening the car door, he shoved her into the passenger seat, trapping her between the seat and himself, his gaze deep as he looked at her, "Am I a jerk?"

Mary felt the pressure emanating from him. A chilling aura enveloping her, seeping into her body, caused her heart to sink.

"Matthew, what's the meaning of this?" Mary said.

"You have no idea." Matthew's voice was low, tinged with hoarseness, and a hint of crimson flashed in his eyes.

He gripped her shoulders, "Mary, behave yourself. Don't upset me, or else no one will be happy."

His demeanor suddenly turned sinister, with unknown emotions churning in his eyes, which Mary couldn't comprehend.

Mary broke free from his grasp, saying, "I really don't understand. If you love Laura, why don't you divorce me? I don't understand why you always bully me! Matthew, I don't owe you anything. Why are you doing this to me?"

She shouted out, the emotions she had suppressed bursting forth, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face!

Just because she had been kind enough to take him in, did she have to endure all this?

She had seriously made a grave mistake!
