Chapter 388 Shirley's Frenzied Tirade
The girl was acting all high and mighty.
Shirley's temper flared up instantly. "Whether I can afford it or not is my business. What gives you the right to snatch it from me? Are you saying you have no manners?"
The girl got all choked up and looked pitifully at Chloe Jackson.
Chloe was lounging on the couch, arms crossed, her eyes hidden behind sunglasses, staring straight at Mary. She said bluntly, "I'll pay double. I want the dress."
Shirley sneered, "So what if you have money? Have you thought about the store clerk's feelings? Offering more than the price messes up the market. How ridiculous."
Chloe's face, hidden under her mask, turned icy.
She said arrogantly, "The dress is in our hands now, and we want it. What can you do about it?"
Shirley's temper flared even more. "You're really unreasonable! If you're so shameless, why are you wearing a hat and mask? Did you do something shady and are afraid of being recognized? Chloe, right? Could you be that actress Chloe Jackson who got involved in someone else's marriage?"
The girl immediately snapped, "What nonsense are you talking about? Be careful, or we'll sue you for defamation!"
Chloe said, "Only those who are not loved are called homewrecker."
"You're really shameless!" Shirley whipped out her phone, started recording, and then rushed over to yank off Chloe's sunglasses and hat. "I'm exposing your disgusting true face today. Let's see if your fans still like you after seeing you so righteously involved in someone else's marriage and snatching someone else's dress!"
"What are you doing!" The girl threw the dress and ran over to stop Shirley.
But Shirley was strong and pushed the girl away, holding her phone up to Chloe's face to record!
Chloe panicked. "Are you crazy?"
Shirley sneered, "Weren't you quite arrogant just now? What happened now? Scared? If you know fear, then don't do despicable things!"
"Help!" Chloe kept covering her face, not letting Shirley record, and didn't dare to run outside, afraid of being recognized by people outside.
At that moment, a group of people passed by the entrance of the clothing store and saw the scene.
Chloe saw Matthew leading the group and immediately ran over crying. "Mr. Montagu, help me, this woman is crazy!"
She hid behind Matthew, looking very pitiful.
Shirley pointed her phone directly at Matthew's face. "I never thought I'd run into cheaters today. I'll expose this video and let everyone scold you!"
Shirley's disgust for Matthew had reached its peak, and seeing him made her even more unrestrained.
Mary, however, felt the chill emanating from Matthew and quickly walked to Shirley's side. "Alright, stop recording."
Shirley held her hand. "Don't be afraid. I'll keep the evidence for you. You can file for divorce, and I'll find you a guy who's a million times better than him!"
The coldness in the air grew stronger, and a powerful aura swept over. Mary felt a chill down her spine.
"Alright, Shirley, stop recording." Her expression was somewhat grave as she saw Matthew's face darken.
He was fuming. Forgiveness wasn't in his vocabulary. After being chewed out by Shirley like that, he wasn't about to let her off the hook easily.
