Chapter 657 How about you drop the lawsuit
Robert looked at Mary, "What do you want to eat?"
Shirley said, "We've already asked her, and she said anything is fine. When we asked her to name a few dishes, she said she's not picky. Isn't that annoying?"
Robert nodded, "It is quite annoying."
Mary blinked innocently, "I really can eat anything, and I'm not picky."
Shirley gave her a cold look, "Should I praise you for that?"
Mary nodded with a smile, "Sure."
Shirley rolled her eyes at her.
Robert pondered for a moment and said, "I'll have someone deliver it."
Mary said, "Wouldn't that be too much trouble?"
Robert shook his head, "Not at all. The hotel will prepare it and deliver it directly, and we won't have to clean up at home."
"Okay." Mary nodded.
At this moment, Joey spoke up, greeting Robert. "Mr. Williams, I've heard a lot about you."
Robert looked at him and smiled slightly, "Mr. Cooper, the legend of the Cooper family from Diamond Ridge. I've always wanted to meet you, but never had the chance. I'm so glad we could meet face-to-face."
Joey smiled faintly, "Mr. Williams, you're too kind. I heard you're recently involved in overseas ventures? I happen to have some experience in that area. Shall we discuss it in detail?"
"Sure."
The two of them sat down on the chairs on the balcony and started talking about work.
Mary watched them for a while and said, "I want to join, but I'm just a designer."
Shirley sighed, "Luckily, you're injured now. If you weren't, you'd probably still be at the construction site, right?"
Mary paused, "Probably."
She would likely be at Matthew's new house, watching the workers.
She suddenly felt a bit dazed.
Matthew had said that the house was for their new marriage.
But now, he refused to divorce.
So what was he preparing that house for?
While she was still puzzled, the doorbell rang again.
Shirley was confused, "What's going on? How many people know you were discharged today?"
Mary shook her head blankly, "I didn't tell anyone."
How did Robert know? She didn't even know.
The caregiver had already gone to open the door.
When she saw who had entered, Shirley's face immediately turned cold. She didn't even spare a glance and sat next to Mary, playing on her phone.
Matthew walked in, tall and handsome, with a cold aura around him.
"Why didn't you tell me you were discharged?" he walked over and asked, staring at Mary.
Mary said, "I didn't tell you, but you still found ou."
Matthew looked carefully at her leg and asked, "Are you okay to be discharged like this?"
"The doctor said it's fine." Mary said.
Shirley said from the side, "Why are you still talking to him?"
Mary paused and said, "Matthew, it's not appropriate for you to be at my house."
Matthew sat down on the single sofa, "What's inappropriate? Are we divorced?"
"You..."
Seeing him put on that shameless look again, Mary was at a loss for words.
"Disgusting!" Shirley said unceremoniously.
Matthew stared at Mary and suddenly said, "Why don't you withdraw the lawsuit? You won't win."
His gaze was heavy, falling on Mary, making her feel a slight pressure.
At this moment, Robert's voice came, "The trial hasn't started yet, everything is uncertain. Matthew, are you afraid of losing, so you're here to persuade her?"
