Chapter 537 No Need to Answer This Call

There was no need to answer this call.

Mary put her phone aside, took a sip of water again, and then returned to the bedroom to take a shower and sleep.

Hospital.

The ward was bright.

Looking at the disconnected call, Matthew's handsome and serious face was very gloomy.

The oppressive atmosphere gradually spread in the ward.

Suddenly, the door of the ward opened.

Matthew instinctively looked over, and when he saw that it was Herman who came in, he frowned and looked away.

"Seeing it's me, you seem very disappointed?" Herman walked over, pulled out a chair, and sat down. He still had a hint of alcohol on him, obviously coming from a bar.

Matthew closed his eyes, his face was still pale.

The whip wounds on his body had been treated, and his previous coma was due to infection and high fever.

Herman said, "You've divorced Mary, why are you still hoping she'll come to see you? From the looks of it, she can't wait to stay far away from you."

Matthew's voice was cold and hoarse, "If you can't speak properly, maybe you should just keep your mouth shut."

Herman laughed immediately, "Did I hit a sore spot, making you angry out of shame?"

Matthew looked at him coldly.

Even though his face was pale, his aura was still strong.

But Herman wasn't afraid.

He said lightly, "Let me tell you something interesting. Laura recently bought a piece of land, and now there's a problem with it."

"I'm not interested."

Herman went on to explain the whole situation, "It's obvious someone set a trap for her, and she foolishly fell into it. This person is beyond saving."

He touched his chin and said, "However, with Sophia's intelligence, she couldn't have come up with such a plan. I think someone must be helping her."

Matthew paused at these words, "Someone is helping Sophia?"

Herman nodded, "Yeah, otherwise, why would Sophia tolerate Laura bullying her for so many years?"

Matthew pondered for a moment, and a faint smile suddenly appeared on his thin lips.

"What are you smiling about?"

Herman looked at him in confusion.

Matthew, "Interesting."

Herman was even more puzzled, "What are you talking about? What's interesting?"

Matthew said, "I know who is giving Sophia advice."

Herman immediately asked, "Who?"

Matthew gave him a faint look, "What do you use your brain for?"

"Bastard!"

Herman cursed, "What's wrong with you? I tell you this, and you leave me hanging?"

Matthew, "Not convinced? Hit me then!"

Herman's fist tightened!

"Forget it, considering you're a patient without a wife, I won't argue with you!" Herman leaned back, crossed his arms, and said.

How sarcastic!

Matthew's face instantly darkened, "Get out."

Herman sneered, "I won't. I just want to see you in your pathetic state. By the way, Robert seems to have gone to find Mary. Late at night, a man and a woman alone together..."

Matthew suddenly threw off the covers and got out of bed.

Herman was startled and quickly stopped him, "What are you doing?"

Matthew's face was very gloomy, "Going to find her."

Herman was speechless, "You're divorced, why are you still looking for her? Aren't you afraid she'll hate you even more?"

Matthew's eyes revealed endless coldness, "Even if she hates me, she can only be mine!"
