Chapter 399 Don't Trust Him
"Mary, my guys took Shirley. I don't know where they took her, but I've got people looking for her," Matthew explained, even though it was his crew who nabbed Shirley.
There was a mole in his team.
Why Shirley was taken and who ordered it still needed figuring out.
But right now, he had to clear things up with her.
"I only found out because you told me," Matthew said, his voice low.
Mary's eyelashes fluttered, her fingers curled slightly, and she asked softly, "Your men took Shirley, how could you not know?"
She felt he was lying to her.
He knew Shirley was her weak spot. With Shirley in his grip, she'd do whatever he wanted.
Matthew's face darkened, and he stepped right up to her. "So, you don't believe me?"
Mary didn't speak, but her silence said it all.
Matthew was pissed, his face getting even grimmer.
"Mary, this has nothing to do with me," he said, his voice deep.
Mary said, "Then find her ASAP, and don't let anything happen to her."
Her voice trembled slightly, almost unable to imagine what she'd do if something happened to Shirley.
Matthew didn't speak, but his face was extremely dark and grim.
Mary sat on the couch, quietly waiting.
Shirley was grabbed, blindfolded, and had her mouth taped shut before being tossed into a car.
She couldn't even speak.
But she could hear the voices of the people talking.
One of the bodyguards said, "Mr. Montagu ordered us to lock her up and wait for his command."
"By the way, use this on her. It'll make things more fun for us."
Shirley heard this and started to struggle.
But soon, she smelled something strong under her nose, and it was too late to hold her breath.
Her face turned pale as she thought, 'What have these people done to me? What the hell is that bastard Matthew planning?'
Shirley was in a panic, and soon her body started to react.
A wave of heat surged from deep within her, making her feel weak and powerless.
She liked to hang out in bars, so she knew exactly what this was.
"She's reacting!"
"We're almost there. I can't wait to have sex!"
"Let me go first!"
The bodyguards laughed lewdly, arguing over who'd go first.
Shirley, in a daze, listened, filled with overwhelming anger towards Matthew!
If she ever got out, she would definitely kill Matthew!
But just then, the car suddenly stopped, and there was a heavy crash from behind.
"What's going on?"
"Have we been exposed?"
"Run!"
The panicked voices of the bodyguards reached Shirley's ears, though she couldn't hear clearly. She only heard the car door open and the sound of hurried footsteps running away.
Soon, screams filled the air.
The car door was left open, and the cold wind blew in, giving her a bit more clarity. Her body felt terrible, and her breathing was heavy.
"You look pathetic." At that moment, a familiar voice sounded.
Shirley shuddered; it was Herman's voice!
She struggled and made a sound!
Could he save her?
But he was Matthew's friend. Matthew had sent people to capture her; how could he possibly help her?
