Chapter 91 Let go of Mary!

Shirley's face darkened, "No!"

As said, she supported the tipsy Mary and walked away.

However, those burly men blocked their path once again. "Ladies, we'll treat you gently. Come on, get in the car. We promise to make you happy!"

With that, they tried to pull Shirley and Mary towards their car physically.

"Get lost!" Shirley shouted, "Back off, or I'll call the police!"

Those men, however, didn't take her words seriously. Two of them grabbed Shirley and Mary and headed towards the car parked by the roadside.

"Let go, back off, let Mary go!" Shirley struggled, but she was no match for these people.

They were quickly dragged to the side of the car.

Mary had no strength left, on the verge of collapsing at any moment.

At that moment, a figure rushed over and kicked one of the men holding Mary, then swiftly punched another in the face.

With just a couple of moves, he took down two of the men.

The others were stunned. Taking advantage of their shock, Shirley quickly broke free and ran to Mary, embracing her.

Sam, with a stern expression, said to Shirley, "Take her."

Shirley replied, "Okay."

Those burly men had regrouped, each wearing a fierce and menacing expression.

"You, looking for trouble?"

Sam didn't bother talking. He approached, and soon, the men were lying on the ground.

"Who's looking for trouble?" Sam said.

"We are. Spare us, please!" The men pleaded for mercy, fear evident in their eyes as they looked at Sam.

Sam withdrew his gaze and approached Mary and Shirley, "It's all settled now. Go home."

Shirley nodded, "Thank you. What's your name?"

"Sam Wilson." His gaze fell on Mary's drunken face, and he furrowed his brow. "Where do you live? I can drive you."

Shirley became cautious, "It's fine. We'll take a cab."

Sam didn't say much more.

Shirley helped Mary into a taxi while Sam followed behind in his car.

The taxi driver couldn't help but jest, "Did you and your boyfriend have a fight, miss? He's been following us the whole time."

Upon hearing this, Shirley was slightly taken aback and turned to see Sam driving behind them, maintaining a distance.

She grew even more vigilant.

Shirley pondered, 'Who was this person? Why was he following them? Could he be working with those burly men?'

Shirley quickly gave the address of the Maple Grove Manor. Originally, she had intended to take Mary home, but upon reflection, she realized her own home wasn't as safe as the Maple Grove Manor.

With its comprehensive security measures, the one called Sam wouldn't enter.

The car stopped at the entrance of the Maple Grove Manor, where the security didn't allow the taxi in. Shirley helped Mary out of the vehicle, and the guard, upon seeing Mary, immediately smiled, "Welcome back, Mrs. Montagu. Can I assist you? Do you need help?"

Shirley replied, "That would be great, thank you."

The guard said, "You're welcome."

Shortly after, two staff members came over and helped Shirley escort Mary back to the 31st floor.

Once inside, Shirley finally breathed a sigh of relief.

After seeing off the property staff, Shirley turned to Mary, who was lying on the bed and lay down beside her. "Mary, I'm exhausted."

Mary turned over and muttered, "If so, go to sleep. Goodnight."
