Chapter 743 Brother-in-law Knows He Was Wrong
David paused for a moment, then asked, "What's up?"
"Mr. Garcia, there's a question I don't get. Can you help me?"
"Mr. Garcia, can you check if I made my bed right?"
"Mr. Garcia..."
Just like that, David was swept away by the kids with all sorts of odd requests.
Matthew stood up and walked over, his tall figure casting a shadow. His black coat had sharp, straight shoulders, emphasizing his mature, masculine charm.
A faint smile played on his handsome, stern face, clearly in a good mood.
Mary frowned at him, "What are you up to now?"
Matthew replied, "I can't stand seeing any guy near you."
Mary scoffed, "That's ridiculous!"
She turned and headed towards her room to rest, with Matthew following closely behind.
At the door, Mary turned to look at him. "Stop following me."
Matthew stepped aside and pointed to a few curious little heads peeking from a distance.
"They all know we're married now. If you don't let me in, how are you going to explain it to them?"
Mary chuckled, "Why should I care? If there's any explaining to do, it's your job."
With that, she opened the door, went inside, and shut it firmly behind her, determined not to let Matthew in.
Matthew was speechless.
"Matthew, why won't Mary let you in?" Clio asked, puzzled.
A hint of sadness appeared on Matthew's handsome face. He crouched down and patted Clio's head, saying, "I made her angry. I want to ask for her forgiveness. Will you help me?"
Clio asked, "Do you really know what you did wrong?"
Matthew nodded.
Clio immediately said, "Mr. Garcia always says that admitting your mistakes and fixing them makes you a good person. We'll help you!"
Matthew's lips curved into a smile, "I have a plan and need your cooperation. If she forgives me, I'll buy you all some candy. How does that sound?"
A chubby kid quickly nodded, "Deal!"
A night of sweet dreams followed.
The next morning, Mary got up, washed up, changed clothes, and opened the door, only to see a child holding a single rose.
"Mary, good morning. This is from Matthew. He says he's sorry."
The child handed her the rose and ran off.
Mary was taken aback, looking at the vibrant red rose in her hand, her brows furrowing slightly.
Then, she went to the cafeteria and was given another rose.
Stepping outside, she received yet another rose.
Every time a child handed her a flower, they would say that Matthew knew he was wrong.
Mary was speechless.
Matthew had even enlisted the kids.
By the time Mary reached the warehouse door, her arms were full of flowers. David walked over and, seeing her like that, couldn't help but twitch his lips.
"Matthew really went all out to earn your forgiveness."
Mary handed the flowers to him, saying, "Can you take care of these for me?"
David raised an eyebrow, "You don't like them?"
Mary's tone was cold, "No, I don't."
David's face showed a hint of amusement as he handed her the key, "Go on in. I'll handle these."
"Alright."
Mary nodded and then opened the warehouse door.
"Mary, when are you going to let me leave?"
Barbara was already very agitated. Being locked up here every day with no freedom and constantly facing the risk of being caught again was driving her insane!
