Chapter 41 She Has Always Firmly Chosen Him

The servers moved forward, trying to pull Mary away as she still hadn't presented an invitation. Just then, a man approached and pulled Mary behind him.

"Mr. Williams."

The servers saw who it was and immediately became respectful.

Robert looked at them indifferently. "What are you planning to do to my plus one? Hmm."

Upon hearing this, the servers were shocked, "Sorry, Mr. Williams. We don't know she's with you.."

Robert's tone suddenly turned cold, "Get lost, and don't show yourself on this cruise again!"

The two servers hurriedly left, cursing whoever had informed them that someone had snuck in without an invitation.

That person who made them end up being reprimanded was truly despicable!

Robert turned to Mary, who seemed a bit stunned. "What a coincidence, we meet again."

Mary thought, 'Isn't it easy as this cruise isn't that big?'

But he had just helped her out of a predicament. She smiled slightly and said, "Thank you."

A mischievous smile appeared on Robert's devilishly handsome face. His suit and leather shoes couldn't hide the rogue vibe exuding from him. "A verbal thank you. Is it all I get? If it weren't for me just now, you would have ended up thrown into the sea to feed the sharks."

As he said the last few words, he leaned in closer to her, his tone inexplicably colder.

Mary instinctively took two steps back, "Sir..."

Before she could finish speaking, her wrist was grabbed with such force that it felt like her bones would be crushed!

"Ouch!"

Mary exclaimed softly, turned around, and saw Matthew's stern face.

"What are you doing?" She questioned in a low voice, feeling the uncontrollable pain in her heart when she remembered him standing close to Laura, witnessing her being publicly questioned.

He didn't care before, so why was he here now?

Matthew ignored her and turned to Robert, "Mr. Williams, what business do you have with my wife? Why not discuss it with me directly?"

Robert squinted, the smirk on his lips deepening. "But I just said she is my plus one."

Matthew's voice was cold and indifferent, "She did not agree to that."

"Is that so?" Robert raised an eyebrow and then turned to Mary. "Ms. Smith, what do you say?"

Matthew's gaze also fell on her face, and the grip on her wrist unconsciously tightened a bit.

Mary's choice had always been Matthew!

It had always been that way before, and he believed it would be no exception!

However, Mary forcefully pulled her hand out and walked over to Robert's side, "That's right, I am this gentleman's plus one."

Matthew's face instantly turned cold,  an invisible pressure enveloping the surrounding air!

Mary's spirit was lifted, knowing he was angry.

So what?

It was Robert who helped her out, and she couldn't let Robert be embarrassed.

As for Matthew...

Heh!

Who cared?

Robert smiled mischievously. "Ms. Smith, I'm Robert Williams. Stop calling me 'Sir'. Let's consider ourselves fated and be friends, shall we?"

Mary smiled gently, "Sure, Mr. Williams."

Robert said, "Let's go. The desserts over there are quite good. You girls seem to like them, don't you?"

He acted so natural, as if he and Mary had been old friends for years.
