Chapter 418 Laura is Much Better Than Mary

Felix's face was all serious. "Why are you guys arguing? Shouldn't we be figuring out a solution right now?"

Everyone went quiet, but you could tell they weren't happy with Felix.

Just then, someone showed up nearby.

"Felix?" Laura walked over, smiling gently.

Felix smiled back. "What brings you here, Ms. Griffin?"

Laura replied, "I came to see a friend. What's going on with you guys?"

Felix sighed and filled her in. "I was just joking with Ms. Smith, but she took it the wrong way and got the DK Group to blacklist us. We have families to support. If we lose our jobs, how are we supposed to live?"

Laura's eyes flickered as she listened. "If you trust me, I can talk to Matthew for you."

Felix's face lit up. "You know him?"

Laura nodded. "Yeah, we're friends."

She called him Matthew, like they were close.

Felix looked at Laura gratefully. "If you can fix this, I'll owe you big time!"

Laura smiled gently. "Don't worry about it. It's just a small favor. Let me make a call. Hang tight."

"Alright," Felix said.

Laura stepped aside and dialed Matthew's number.

"Hello?" Matthew's cool, captivating voice answered quickly.

Laura's voice was soft. "Matthew, I found the gift Samuel gave me while I was packing. When can you come get it?"

Matthew's tone turned colder. "Are you serious?"

Laura's eyes flickered. "Yes, I know you care about Samuel. I wouldn't joke about this."

Matthew asked, "When are you free?"

Laura replied, "I'm free now."

Matthew said, "I'll send Michael to get it."

Laura responded, "Matthew, it's a gift from Samuel to me. I won't give it to anyone else."

Matthew asked, "Where are you?"

Laura smiled and gave him the address.

"Wait there." With that, he hung up.

Laura turned back to Felix and the others, smiling. "Matthew will be here soon. Your problem will be solved."

Everyone looked at Laura with gratitude.

"Thank you so much."

"You're so kind and beautiful, way better than that Mary!"

"Ms. Griffin, here's my card. If you ever need anything, just give me a call. I'll be there!"

Laura's smile grew even bigger.

She glanced at the office door, a hint of mockery in her eyes.

No one left.

Matthew showed up in half an hour.

He glanced at the studio name, his expression colder.

"Where's the item?" he asked and looked at Laura, calm and distant, with a sharp chill around him.

Laura said, "I promised to give it to you, and I will. But Matthew, these people have families to support. If they lose their jobs, what will happen to their families? Can you not target them?"
