Chapter 480 Getting a Divorce

Mary strolled back into the studio.

Sean noticed something was off and asked, "Hey Mary, are you feeling unwell?"

Mary shook her head, "No, probably just didn't get enough sleep."

Sean looked a bit concerned, "Got anything you need help with? I can take care of it."

Mary replied, "No, I'm good, thanks."

Sean was about to say more, but Maria walked over, "Sean, come outside with me for a sec!"

Sean nodded, "Sure thing."

Lately, Maria had been dragging Sean out a lot. He was pretty talented and could hold his liquor. After hitting up so many social events, he'd managed to snag a bunch of resources and was now even finishing design drafts on his own.

Mary watched them leave, a hint of doubt creeping in.

Why had there been so many social events lately?

It wasn't like this before.

Catherine suddenly chimed in, "They used to take you out all the time, thought you were the best, but now look, Sean's way better than you."

Mary shot back, "So what are you so smug about?"

Catherine was caught off guard, not expecting Mary to clap back.

Mary looked at her calmly, "After all this time, have you finished a single design?"

Catherine's face turned sour, "Isn't it because you took all the orders!"

Mary replied coolly, "I earned them with my skills. If you can't keep up, don't blame me for taking your spot."

Catherine was stunned, both surprised and even more furious!

No matter how much she mocked Mary before, Mary would stay silent. What was up with her today?

Mary saw her back down and said indifferently, "Instead of wasting time mocking others, you should focus on improving your own skills. By now, you could have already contacted several clients."

Catherine's face turned particularly livid with anger. The others in the office pretended not to notice but occasionally glanced over, eager to watch the drama unfold.

Catherine stormed out of the office, slamming the door shut!

Mary remained calm.

She used to ignore it.

She thought a few words would pass, but unexpectedly, seeing no reaction from her, Catherine only escalated her behavior!

It was really unsatisfactory!

Mary didn't dare to work overtime anymore. Even if there were unfinished tasks, she would take them home to do.

Entering Montagu Mansion, the living room was cold and empty.

Matthew hadn't come back.

The butler stepped forward and asked, "Mrs. Montagu, what would you like for dinner?"

Mary thought for a moment and said, "Something spicy, anything will do."

The butler nodded, "Alright, please wait a moment."

He then went to the kitchen to give instructions.

Mary went upstairs and directly entered the study to continue her unfinished work.

However, she couldn't focus.

She kept thinking about Matthew's handsome and stern face, and those excessively cold and gloomy eyes.

He was truly disappointed.

Their marriage might really be over.

The next day, at the courthouse.

Mary arrived early, but it wasn't until 9 AM that Matthew appeared.

He was wearing a perfectly pressed suit without a single wrinkle, exuding a cold and noble aura. His handsome face was very indifferent.

"You're early."

Seeing her, he mocked.

Mary didn't react, turning to walk inside.

The staff saw her and immediately said, "Please follow me upstairs to handle the paperwork."
