Chapter 495 She Doesn't Love Him

What was really going on between them?

Jessica clenched her fists and said, "Matthew, you still have feelings for Ms. Smith, don't you? I only said that to provoke her. If she still cares about you, she'd get jealous and upset. I'm sorry, I acted on my own. It won't happen again."

In the dim light, Matthew's handsome face looked cold and sharp, his eyes showing no warmth as he stared at Jessica.

"You really crossed the line," he said icily, not showing her any respect.

Jessica blushed with embarrassment and quickly said, "I promise, it won't happen again."

Matthew didn't even glance at her again. He turned to Michael and said, "Get me a new phone."

He handed his phone to Michael to transfer the data and change the SIM card.

"Yes, sir," Michael said, taking the phone and leaving.

In the private room, the people in suits and ties saw Matthew return and immediately stood up to toast.

"Mr. Montagu, this project wouldn't have been completed without you. Cheers to you!"

Matthew sat in the middle, exuding an air of elegance and nobility.

He held his glass and drank with the others, but Jessica's words echoed in his mind. "If she likes you, she would definitely feel jealous and upset hearing those ambiguous words."

Thinking of Mary's indifferent attitude, Matthew's eyes gleamed with a hint of mockery.

'She doesn't love me. How could she possibly feel jealous and upset? She wishes I would stay out of her life,' Matthew thought.

Shirley came out of the media room and saw Mary standing on the balcony, lost in thought.

Her figure was slender, wearing a thin knit cardigan, with long hair draped behind her. The breeze blew, lifting her hair and adding a touch of melancholy.

"Mary," Shirley called out as she walked over and hugged her.

Mary asked, "Finished watching? Was it good?"

Shirley said, "Without you by my side, even the best movie is like garbage."

Mary smiled helplessly and said, "It's late. Are you staying over tonight?"

"Sure!" Shirley agreed happily.

But the next second, her phone rang. She took a look and immediately cursed. "What is it?"

Herman's lazy voice came through, "I looked at the blueprints. Isn't there a design flaw in one area?"

Shirley said with a sullen face, "Are you the designer or am I? Since signing with you, how many issues have you found with the blueprints? What exactly do you want the design to be like with all these demands?"

Herman sneered, "I'm paying you to design a house for me. I expect you to meet my needs. If you don't want to design it, fine, pay the penalty fee, and I promise I'll never bother you again."

Shirley exhaled slowly, her frustration evident, "I'm off work now. Let's talk tomorrow."

Herman said, "No, I remember it now. I'll forget it by tomorrow."

Shirley said, "Then record it on your phone and send it to me tomorrow."

Herman said, "My phone doesn't have that function."

Shirley snapped, "What do you want?"

Herman laughed, "Come over now, and I'll tell you in person."
