Chapter 543 Mrs. Montagu, Are you Really Not Going to See Mr. Montagu?
"Alright."
Mary nodded and walked to the elevator, waiting for Maria to return.
She looked down at her phone, and just then, the elevator doors opened, and a surprised voice rang out.
"Mrs. Montagu?"
Mary looked up to see Michael stepping out of the elevator, his face showing a hint of joy. "Are you here to see Mr. Montagu?"
Mary's expression was indifferent as she shook her head. "No."
Michael was taken aback and rubbed his nose, clearly noticing Mary's cold attitude. He smiled awkwardly and then said to himself, "Mr. Montagu is seriously injured, he's on this floor. Mrs. Montagu, aren't you going to see him?"
Mary looked at him calmly and said, "Michael, Matthew and I are divorced."
Michael was stunned for a moment, then understood her meaning and smiled apologetically. "Sorry, Ms. Smith."
Only then did Mary's expression soften a bit.
However, Michael did not leave and continued to stand beside her.
Mary asked, "Is there anything else?"
Michael bit his lip and said, "Ms. Smith, you were once married. Mr. Montagu is injured now, aren't you going to see him?"
Mary's beautiful eyebrows furrowed. "Are you trying to guilt-trip me?"
Hearing this, Michael waved his hands repeatedly. "No, that's not what I meant!"
Mary said, "Then you shouldn't be standing here chatting with me."
Michael turned away dejectedly.
Mary lowered her eyes slightly, her lightly made-up but exquisitely beautiful face reflecting a calm expression.
Whether he was injured or not, what did matter to her?

The elevator doors opened and closed again. About 20 minutes later, Maria finally came over.
Mary asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
Maria said, "A bit uncomfortable, but nothing serious. Let's go."
"Alright."
Mary nodded.
Before entering the elevator, Maria glanced in a particular direction and then let out a sigh almost imperceptibly.
She had tried her best!

They saw a few people gathered together chatting.
Catherine saw Mary and immediately showed a disdainful expression. "Isn't this the ex-wife of the president of the DK Group?"
Mary gave her a faint look. "Something you need?"
Catherine said, "Nothing, I just wanted to see what you look like after being dumped by Matthew. Who do you think you are, and who is Matthew? Marrying you was just a game for him. Given his family background, he was destined to marry someone of equal social standing."
She took out her phone. "Look at those heiresses, so elegant, so refined, they are a perfect match for Matthew!"
Catherine's words were utterly unkind.
Sean frowned upon hearing this. "What does that have to do with you?"
Catherine sneered. "Nothing, can't I just enjoy the show? But this isn't about me; it's about you. Now that she's been dumped by Matthew, you have a chance, don't you? Why don't you go over and win her over?"
Catherine had a lot of hostility towards Mary and would seize any opportunity to mock her. She couldn't feel comfortable without making a snide remark.
Mary gave her a faint look and said, "At least I was with Matthew, and even after our divorce, I got a considerable amount of money. What about you?"
