Chapter 507 Affection Will Eventually Fade
Victoria retorted, "Haven't you already divorced her? Her matters are none of your concern."
Matthew leaned slightly forward, his hands resting on the foot of the bed, his eyes filled with coldness as he looked at her. "Grandma, you used the same tactics to force me into a divorce, and I didn't resist. But if you try it a second time, I won't be so patient. After all, when Samuel passed away right before my eyes, not a single tear fell from me. How long do you think I would care about your life?"
Victoria's expression grew increasingly grim as she listened to him, her trembling finger pointing at him. "Matthew, you bastard!"
Matthew smirked, "That's just who I am. Have you forgotten?"
He exuded a chilling aura, with a look of ferocity and madness in his eyes. It was evident that he was determined to achieve his goal, no matter what.
Victoria suddenly realized that Matthew had always been like this when he was young!
He was like a wolf!
Anyone who got close to him would get hurt!
He was not well-liked as a child!
Despite being hurt by Matthew, Samuel didn't care and stayed by his side.
She didn't know when it started, but Matthew began to change, gradually putting away his hostility and becoming gentle.
He had been gentle for so many years that everyone forgot he was a madman who didn't care about his life!
Matthew asked again, "Grandma, where is Mary?"
Victoria seemed to deflate as she said, "I'll give you a phone number. You can ask him. I don't know where Mary was taken."
Matthew pressed a button on his Bluetooth earpiece. "Did you get that?"
Maria replied, "Tracking it now."
Matthew's eyes were filled with coldness as he stared at Victoria on the bed. "You've been good to me, but those feelings can fade."
With that, he turned and left.
Victoria's face turned even paler as she stared blankly at his back, lost in thought for a long time.
Matthew's personality was exactly like his mother's!
After that incident years ago, his mother stubbornly committed suicide by jumping off a building, so fierce!
But Matthew wouldn't do that; he would only hurt others!
Shirley was growing impatient. Just as she was about to get out of the car, she saw Matthew return.
With a chilling aura surrounding him and his handsome face set in a frosty expression, he instructed the driver to go directly to the abandoned dock in the south of the city!
Hearing this location, Shirley immediately sent a message to Robert, fervently hoping he would reach Mary first.
Mary could hear the sound of the waves penetrating the container.
She dizzily woke up, only to find her hands and feet tied, with tape over her mouth.
It was pitch black around her, with only the faint sound of waves hitting the shore.
Was she by the sea?
Mary's head was still a bit dizzy, and she struggled to breathe, using her legs to kick the container, making a thumping sound.
Other than that sound, there was nothing else.
She felt very uneasy.
Was Victoria going to let her drown?
As if to confirm her suspicions, water slowly began to seep through the cracks in the container.
It was a small amount, but Mary still felt it.
She widened her eyes in terror and kicked the container even harder!
