Chapter 746 One Night Upside Down

David gave a resigned smile, "Alright, just do what you think is best."

Mary watched the kids playing, lost in her thoughts.

What was on her mind?

Honestly, Mary was curious about her biological parents, too.

So, she decided to dig into it, to find out for herself.

Maybe she had a connection with them, too?

Once Mary made up her mind, she stopped overthinking it.

That evening, after her shower, Mary sent a message to Matthew.

Mary: [I need to talk to you. Can you come over?]

Within five minutes, there was a knock on the door.

Mary got up, took a deep breath, and opened the door.

Before she could say anything, Matthew leaned in, cupped her face, and kissed her.

Mary's body stiffened, but she didn't pull away.

Wasn't this what she wanted to talk about?

He seemed to get it.

"The door," Mary managed to say.

Matthew reached back and closed the door, then wrapped his arms around her waist, deepening the kiss.

It was like dry wood meeting a blazing fire, igniting instantly.

Matthew's passion was overwhelming, and Mary struggled to keep up.

They stumbled to the bed, where Matthew pressed her down.

Breathing heavily, Mary couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

She thought Matthew would be urgent and rough, but he surprised her by teasing her emotions.

Only when her body responded did he take the next step.

Matthew's breath moved to her ear, kissing her earlobe, "Mary, I want to make you happy too."

Mary closed her eyes.

The world turned upside down.

The next morning.

Mary opened her eyes to find herself wrapped in Matthew's strong arms, his warm breath on her shoulder.

She moved slightly, and his arms tightened around her.

"Are you tired?" Matthew's deep, husky voice, still thick with sleep, was incredibly seductive.

Mary said, "I need to get up and wash up."

"Stay a little longer," Matthew refused to let go.

He cherished these rare moments of intimacy.

Mary, however, wanted to get up. She moved, trying to break free.

But Matthew held her tighter, his breath growing hotter, "Keep moving, and you'll face the consequences."

Mary immediately felt something, her face blushing.

"It's your fault for not letting go!"

Mary's voice was a mix of anger and embarrassment.

Matthew kissed her shoulder, "Then why are you squirming? If you stayed still, this wouldn't happen."

Mary retorted, "You're holding me down, why shouldn't I struggle?"

Matthew chuckled, "You can struggle. I didn't tie your hands and feet."

Mary suddenly realized how pointless this conversation was.

Why was she arguing with Matthew about it in the morning?

His reaction was intense. She stayed still in his arms until he finally let go and got up to go to the bathroom.

Mary's tense body relaxed. She got up, looking at the messy bed, and memories of last night flashed through her mind.

Her face turned even redder.

She decided to change the sheets and duvet cover.

When Matthew came out, he saw Mary sitting on the couch, looking at her phone.

He walked over, grabbed her chin, and leaned in for a kiss.

Mary frowned and pulled away. "I need you to help me investigate Barbara."
