Chapter 620 It's My Wedding Room

Mary furrowed her brows, distanced herself from him, and said, "Isn't he the owner of the wedding house?"

Matthew replied coldly, "This is my house."

Mary remained silent and realized she was deceived.

Mary turned to leave, "You should find another designer. I don't have time."

Matthew's deep voice came from behind, "But you've already signed a contract with me. Have you seen the penalty clause?"

Mary paused, her expression changing.

Matthew continued, "If you breach the contract, don't design my house, or even fail to design a house that satisfies me, the penalty is one hundred million dollars."

Mary turned back to look at him, "Why don't you just go rob a bank?"

Matthew smirked, "It's just a hundred million dollars. You can't possibly not have that?"

Mary wanted to slap him!

A hundred million dollars might be a small amount for Matthew, but for her, she really couldn't come up with it!

Her money was saved for future use!

She absolutely couldn't give it to him now!

So, this job, she had to take it whether she wanted to or not!

Mary suppressed her emotions, walked back, took out a pen and notebook, and asked, "What style do you like? What kind of design do you want?"

Matthew walked straight in, hands in his pockets, strolling across the bare ground as if it were his own backyard.

Mary followed behind him, but after a while, he still hadn't spoken.

Mary asked coldly, "Are you mute?"

Matthew glanced back at her, "I'm your client now. How dare you treat me like this?"

Mary rolled her eyes, "What style of villa would you like, sir?"

Even through his sunglasses, she could feel the coldness in his gaze.

Mary resisted the urge to roll her eyes again and said, "Matthew, since we've signed the contract, let's complete this job together. That way, you get the villa you want, and I make money. It's a win-win."

Matthew said, "I want a wedding house."

Mary started taking notes.

He continued, "The garden in the courtyard, the swimming pool, the small bridge and flowing water, all must be included, but it shouldn't resemble other places. In short, no foreign styles."

Mary noted everything down.

Matthew kept staring at her. Seeing her taking notes seriously, he walked up to her and suddenly asked, "Do you have any ideas?"

Startled by his sudden closeness, Mary instinctively took a step back and frowned, "Let's address the matter at hand; don't stand so close to me."

If Jessica found out, she would kill Mary!

She didn't want to get involved in his love life.

It was too troublesome.

She said, "Matthew, you shouldn't be asking me. You should ask the future mistress of this wedding house what she wants."

Matthew's thin lips pressed together, and he asked, "Mary, do you have a heart?"

Mary's expression was indifferent, "I do."

Matthew sneered, "No, you don't. Otherwise, why would you be indifferent when I'm about to get engaged?"

Mary found it laughable, "Why should I be excited about your engagement? Matthew, we're already divorced."

Sunlight fell on them, and although the surroundings were empty, the atmosphere inexplicably became cold and oppressive.
