Chapter 720 I Like Him, Help Me

Mary was downstairs, sipping her coffee, when she casually glanced up and saw Maria and Sean leaving together.

A hint of confusion flashed in her eyes.

Were they going out again?

Mary didn't dwell on it much. After waiting for a while, she returned to her office.

Once the contract was fully processed and the finance department confirmed the final payment was settled, she breathed a huge sigh of relief.

She took out her phone and contacted her lawyer, Ollie Scott.

After explaining the situation, Ollie assured her that he would notify her once the date was set.

Mary sat in front of her computer, feeling her worries ease.

Nearly a week passed before Rebecca's team reported their findings to her.

Rebecca was shopping at the mall when she heard the news, her expression shifting unpredictably.

She couldn't believe it—Matthew's wife was Mary!

Whatever she was thinking, Rebecca instructed her team, "I want all the information on Mary."

"Got it."

Her phone rang, and Rebecca glanced at it, a smile appearing on her face.

"Hey, Joey."

Joey's gentle voice came through, "Are you done shopping?"

Rebecca replied, "Not yet. Joey, come join me. I'm so bored alone."

Joey said, "I'm still busy with work. If you're tired, head back to the hotel. I'll take you out for a nice dinner later."

Rebecca insisted, "Joey, where are you now? Can I come find you? I promise I won't cause any trouble."

Joey responded, "I'm at the Montagu Group. You're not interested in this stuff, so it's better if you don't come."

"Please, I am interested! Dad said you should teach me and let me learn. If you don't, I'll tell Dad!"

Rebecca pouted, and Joey, as usual, couldn't refuse her.

She was the little princess of the family, and they always gave her what she wanted.

"Alright, but don't cause any trouble when you get here." Joey reminded.

"Don't worry, I won't."

Rebecca agreed, hung up the phone, handed her shopping bags to her bodyguard, and left the mall, heading straight to the Montagu Group.

Joey sent someone to meet her downstairs and escorted her to the conference room.

It was just a routine meeting, and outsiders were allowed to observe.

Rebecca entered and sat in a corner, immediately spotting Matthew at the head of the table.

His handsome face was slightly lowered, concealing his emotions, making it hard to read his current mood.

Joey sat diagonally across from him, discussing the upcoming collaboration.

The Cooper family and the Montagu Group had always worked together.

Now that Matthew was in charge of the Montagu Group, the partnership would continue.

Business was business, and personal matters were separate.

Joey admired Matthew's intellect and business acumen, but he didn't approve of his relationship with Mary.

He was on Mary's side.

For some reason, every time he saw Mary being oppressed and heartbroken, it pained him deeply.

The meeting didn't last long, ending in about 40 minutes.

Joey noticed that Rebecca's intense gaze was fixed on Matthew's face the entire time.

Feeling a bit helpless, Joey approached Rebecca after Matthew left and asked, "Rebecca, what are you doing?"

Rebecca bluntly replied, "I like Matthew. Joey, help me."

Joey's brows furrowed instantly. "He's married. Don't even think about it."

Rebecca said nonchalantly, "But married people can get divorced. Joey, you love me the most. Please help me, okay?"
