Chapter 739 The Vile Person Wants to Exterminate Completely

"Alright, I'll go with you."

David said as he walked with her to the warehouse door. He pulled out a key and unlocked it. As the door creaked open, a cloud of dust swirled in the light.

Barbara had been anxiously watching the door. When she saw it was them, she let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Did they all leave?" She asked cautiously.

David nodded, "Yeah, thanks to the folks Mary brought. Otherwise, you would've been taken. Ms. Inome, who exactly did you cross? They seem pretty dangerous."

Barbara's eyes flickered.

Mary looked at her coolly, "Was it the person who took my place that sent them?"

Barbara avoided her gaze and instead asked, "When are you going to get me out of here?"

Mary's tone was cold. "Answer my question first."

Barbara sat down on the bed and said, "You need to get me out of here first, then I'll tell you everything."

Mary didn't respond immediately.

David frowned and said, "Ms. Inome, you actually know who that person is, don't you?"

She had even helped cover it up.

Why?

For money?

But the orphanage wasn't doing well, and Barbara didn't have much money either.

Mary stepped closer, staring into Barbara's eyes, and suddenly asked, "Is this person from the orphanage?"

Barbara was shocked. She hadn't expected Mary to guess so accurately!

But she couldn't say anything now!

If she did, what would happen to her?

She would be useless, and Mary would definitely hand her over!

When that happened, she would be better off dead!

Barbara's biggest regret now was letting that imposter take Mary's place. She had thought that person would be grateful and treat her better, maybe even take care of her in the future.

But what happened?

That wretch wanted to kill her!

Afraid she would expose the secret!

Hatred flashed in Barbara's eyes.

Mary saw it clearly and raised an eyebrow, "You two were in it together, but now she wants to cut the rope and leave you behind, right?"

"Anyway, I won't say anything until I'm safe!" Barbara said stubbornly, then closed her eyes.

Mary took a few steps back and left the warehouse.

The afternoon sun warmed her, dispelling some of the chill.

David looked at her and asked, "What are you going to do next?"

Mary said, "I don't even know who those people are. How can I get her out of here? I need to find out who they are, then I'll know who my real parents are."

Frank was bold and blatant, making it easy to investigate.

Besides, it would be a waste not to use available resources.

Mary took out her phone and called South.

"Mrs. Montagu."

South answered quickly, his tone respectful.

Mary said, "Can you help me find out who those people were today?"

South was a bit taken aback, "You don't have to be so polite. I'll do my best."

"Thank you."

Mary smiled and hung up.

"Whose people are they?" David asked tentatively.

Mary said, "Matthew's."

David's expression grew more complicated. "I know you're in the middle of a divorce with him. Isn't today the court date? You didn't go back, so..."
