Chapter 712 You Don't Know How to Date, Do You?

Shirley stared at Herman, utterly incredulous. "Herman, if that's how you feel, then what's the point of us even talking? You might as well just drag me back, chain me up, since I don't have the right to negotiate with you."

Shirley was genuinely angry!

What was wrong with Herman?

Couldn't he have a normal conversation?

What did he mean by 'no right'?

It was Herman who insisted on being with her, so how did she not have the right?

Shirley stood up, ready to leave.

"Stop." Herman's tone grew colder, his brows furrowing, his expression darkening. "Sit down!"

Shirley looked at him. "Can we talk properly?"

Herman was silent for a moment before speaking. "But what kind of condition is this that you're proposing?"

Shirley smirked. "Why wouldn't it be a condition? Herman, I don't want to get too involved with you, but I don't mind being with you either. However, there has to be a timeframe. Given your status, you're bound to get engaged and married eventually. What happens to me then?"

Shirley leaned on the table with one hand, slightly bending forward, her gaze fixed on Herman's handsome face, her demeanor alluring. "So, why don't we set the rules from the start? That way, if anything changes in the future, we won't be caught off guard."

Having witnessed the tangled marriage of Matthew and Mary, Shirley had learned her lesson.

Women should enjoy life, but always stay clear-headed. Never got too deeply involved, or the woman always ended up losing.

Herman looked at her face, tinged with a hint of a smile. She always knew how to play to her strengths. Her casual demeanor was anything but frivolous, exuding the charm of a coquettish woman.

Herman's Adam's apple bobbed.

Probably this very quality in Shirley attracted him, making him want to explore more, but that was the extent of it.

"What do you think?" Seeing Herman remain silent, Shirley asked again.

This time, her face showed a hint of impatience, wondering why a grown man could be so indecisive.

Suddenly, Herman reached out, grabbed Shirley's arm, and pulled her onto his lap, wrapping his arm around her slender waist. "Fine, three months, but during that time, you have to listen to me."

"No, no, no." Shirley shook her head again, her hands looping around Herman's neck, smiling sweetly. "For these three months, we're boyfriend and girlfriend. I'm not your kept woman, and you're not my sugar daddy. We're equals. Haven't you ever dated before? Do you not know how relationships work?"

As she finished speaking, a look of surprise crossed Shirley's face, as if she couldn't believe that someone like Herman had never had a girlfriend.

"Are you joking?" Herman tightened his grip around her. "I own a film company. My girlfriends could line up from here to Zephyria."

"Oh, really?" Shirley drawled, then said, "Well, could you ask one of your girlfriends in Zephyria to bring me a bottle of perfume? It's a niche brand, not available here, and I really like it."

Herman was speechless. She was truly exasperating!

Herman kissed Shirley's lips without hesitation.

Shirley's breath hitched, but she didn't pull away.

Herman had reserved the entire restaurant, so there was no one else around. His kiss was fierce, as if he wanted to devour Shirley whole.
