Chapter 463 He Had Long Disowned His Son

"It's gotta be Samuel; I'd recognize him anywhere!" Richard grabbed Linda's hand, practically bouncing with excitement. "Samuel's really alive!"

Linda gently patted his chest, trying to calm him down. "Richard, don't get too worked up. The image is super blurry. We need to make sure it's really him. If it is, that'd be amazing."

Richard's eyes were practically glowing. "I know it's him; I'd never mistake Samuel."

He turned to the butler and said, "Get me all the info on the part-time staff hired today!"

The butler nodded, just as excited. "Yes, Mr. Richard Montagu!"

If Samuel was alive, it'd be incredible!

Everyone in the Montagu family loved Samuel, except for Matthew.

Even though Samuel had always been good to Matthew, Matthew still didn't like him. No matter what Samuel did, Matthew would always cause trouble and oppose him.

It was like Matthew was always trying to go against Samuel!

The atmosphere in the living room shifted from tense to lively in an instant.

Matthew watched from the sidelines, a mocking smile on his lips.

Mary noticed something was off with him.

She asked softly, "Samuel might be alive; aren't you happy?"

Matthew replied, "I saw him die right in front of me, burned alive bit by bit."

Mary fell silent.

Matthew had witnessed Samuel's death firsthand, and now he was being told Samuel might still be alive. It made sense that Matthew didn't believe it.

Plus, it was just a blurry side profile with a mask on. They couldn't even see the guy's face.

How could Richard be so sure it was Samuel?

Mary found it rather baffling.

Suddenly, Matthew grabbed her hand and started heading upstairs.

Richard saw them leaving and called out, "Where are you going? Stay here and help find Samuel!"

Matthew replied, "I'm tired. Let's talk tomorrow."

Ignoring Richard's growing frustration, he pulled Mary upstairs.

Richard clenched his fist. "We have to find Samuel. When we do, I won't acknowledge this disobedient Matthew anymore!"

If Samuel was alive, Richard would've kicked Matthew out of the family ages ago!

Linda tried to calm him down. "Don't say things in anger. He's still your son, no matter what."

Richard snorted and dropped the subject, focusing on finding Samuel instead.

But the whole night turned up nothing!

The masked guy seemed to have appeared out of nowhere and vanished just as quickly.

Matthew and Mary got back to their bedroom.

Matthew pushed Mary onto the bed, kissing her hard, making her wince in pain.

"What are you doing?" Mary didn't expect him to suddenly kiss her so aggressively and struggled.

Matthew grabbed her wrists, pinning them above her head, his eyes dark and dangerous. "Mary, you think I won't get mad? You actually got him to help you get a divorce? You've got some nerve!"

Mary's breath hitched, her eyes glaring at him. "Matthew, I don't love you anymore. Shouldn't we get a divorce? Even if I don't love you, you won't agree to a divorce. Doesn't that bother you?"

Matthew felt a pang in his chest, but his expression turned even colder. "I don't care, as long as you're by my side!"

With that, he kissed her again!

This time, he didn't give Mary any chance to resist, not even letting her get aroused, and just went for it!
