Chapter 663 Just Consider It as Dad Begging You

"Matthew really has no shame." Shirley shouted.

Mary stared blankly ahead, remaining silent.

She couldn't believe this was Matthew's backup plan.

He didn't seem to care at all about being kicked out of the DK Group. He even had the nerve to come here and cause her trouble.

What was he thinking?

Seeing that Mary wasn't reacting, Shirley waved a hand in front of her face. "Mary? You there?"

Mary snapped out of it and responded, "It looks like we'll be seeing him every day for a while."

Shirley made a face. "Ugh, I really don't want to see him."

"Then move out."

Matthew's deep voice cut in. The two women looked up to see him leaning casually against the wall, arms crossed, his gaze cold as he looked at Shirley.

Shirley sneered. "You think you can just tell me to move out and I'll do it? Who do you think you are?"

Matthew pointed at Mary. "She's number one in this house. I'm number two."

Both Shirley and Mary fell silent.

Seeing their silence, Matthew seemed pleased. He walked over and looked at Mary. "How about you drop the lawsuit now? And issue a statement saying the divorce filing was just a joke? That way, my reputation will improve, and I might get my job back at the DK Group. Then I won't have to stay here and bother you."

His deep, magnetic voice was slow, almost coaxing.

Mary's face remained cold. "I don't believe you."

Matthew laughed outright.

Mary rolled her eyes and said to Shirley, "Let's go for a walk."

"Sure thing." Shirley grabbed her bag and helped Mary out of the room.

The smile vanished from Matthew's face.

He pulled out his phone. A flood of messages appeared.

There were messages from the Montagu family and all sorts of insults.

Somehow, people had gotten hold of his number and were bombarding him with abusive messages.

Matthew looked at them coldly, then pulled out the SIM card and tossed it in the trash.

He stood up and walked to the balcony, staring at the clear blue sky, his eyes dark and deep.

A voice call came in. He glanced at the screen. It was Herman.

"Talk." He answered curtly.

Herman asked, "How does it feel to be shunned by everyone?"

Matthew replied, "Pretty good. Want to try it? I can help."

Herman laughed without restraint. "No thanks. I'm enjoying my life."

"Sure, your fiancée cheated on you. You must be having a blast," Matthew said bluntly.

Herman was momentarily at a loss for words. "I don't care what she does, as long as it doesn't become a big deal."

"You're so generous." Matthew's tone was calm, but it sounded like mockery.

He frowned and continued, "When are you coming to take Shirley away? She annoys me."

Herman replied, "Are you asking me for a favor?"

Matthew said, "Yeah, just think of me as your big brother, asking for a favor."

"Damn it!" Herman cursed under his breath.

"I think she's good for Mary. It keeps her in a better mood."
