Chapter 487 It Shows That You Still Have Me in Your Heart

Mary was so mad she wanted to kick him!

"Let go of me!"

Matthew looked down at her and, while walking inside, said, "No way, if I let you go, you might hit me."

Mary glared at him, thinking, 'It's not "might," it's definitely! You really deserve a beating!'

After checking the house and not finding any other guys, Matthew seemed to calm down a bit.

He carried Mary straight to the kitchen, saw the food on the dining table, and raised an eyebrow.

He pinched her waist and said in a low voice, "Didn't you say you didn't cook?"

Mary shot back, "I just didn't want you to come in and eat. Can't you tell?"

Matthew replied, "I can tell, but I'm not going along with it."

Mary was fuming.

Matthew was so shameless!

Seeing her angry face, Matthew felt oddly satisfied. He finally let her go, pulled up a chair, and sat down beside her, picking up the utensils to eat.

Those utensils were Mary's.

She had already taken a bite of the food.

Seeing his uninvited behavior, Mary crossed her arms and asked, "Matthew, what do you think you're doing?"

While eating, Matthew looked up at her like he had no clue what she meant.

Mary said, "We're already divorced. Is it fun to keep bothering me? Can't you keep some distance? You're really getting in the way of me dating other people."

Matthew said, "You still want to date others?"

Then he sneered, "Not happening."

Mary was speechless! She was so mad she grabbed the edge of the table with both hands.

Seeing this, Matthew paused, "You wouldn't flip the table, would you? It's just a meal. Are you that stingy? Mary, think about how long it's been since I last ate your cooking."

Mary said, "Does that have anything to do with me?"

Matthew said, "Doesn't it?"

Mary sneered, "Don't you know why you can't eat my cooking? Matthew, we broke up on good terms. Don't make it seem like we're enemies; it's uncomfortable."

Matthew, unfazed, said, "If you're uncomfortable, it means you still care about me. You're always thinking about me. Why not consider getting back together?"

"In your dreams!"

Mary didn't hold back and got up to leave.

Matthew didn't chase after her and kept eating. He had been craving this meal for so long! It seemed he hadn't come in vain tonight.

At that moment, his phone rang. He took it out and saw it was a call from Herman.

Matthew answered and put it on speaker.

Herman asked, "I'm here. Where are you?"

Matthew replied, "Wait, I'll come over after I finish eating."

Herman was truly speechless.

He said incredulously, "You didn't go to see Mary, did you? Matthew, aren't you already divorced?"

Matthew said, "Who says I can't see her after a divorce?"

Herman said, "You're something else; no one is more shameless than you!"

Matthew hung up the phone without a second thought and continued eating.

Mary went straight to the media room to watch a movie. When the two-hour movie ended, she came out to find that Matthew was no longer in the house.

She went to the dining room and saw that there was nothing left on the table.

She was instantly unhappy!
