Chapter 322 It Is Too Late
Robert's smirk widened as he eyed Matthew. "Yo, Montagu, first you crash my gate, now you're trespassing? What's your deal, man?"
Matthew's stare was ice-cold, his eyes flashing with a deadly chill. "Hand over Mary, and I'll let the rest slide."
Robert chuckled. "And if I don't?"
Matthew's gaze didn't waver. "You've been living pretty easy, huh? Wonder what your brothers would think if they knew what you've been up to?"
Robert's grin faltered. "You threatening me, Matthew?"
Matthew's voice was steady. "Bring Mary out."
Robert's tongue pressed against his cheek, and the smirk returned. "Sorry, can't do that. She doesn't wanna see you, and I gotta respect that."
Matthew's eyes grew even colder.
Robert suddenly spoke up, "Matthew, she married you 'cause she loved you, but you let her down. Now you regret it and don't want a divorce? Too late, buddy."
Matthew's fist flew, landing square on Robert's face!
Robert stumbled back, barely keeping his balance!
Before he could react, Matthew was on him again, grabbing his collar and landing another punch!
Mary heard the ruckus and felt a knot of anxiety. She forced her weak body to come out, only to see the chaos.
Her eyes widened in shock, and she rushed downstairs. "Matthew, stop it! Let him go!"
Matthew's fist paused mid-air.
Seeing this, Robert's eyes gleamed, and he sucker-punched Matthew in the gut!
A flash of rage crossed Matthew's face as he retaliated with another punch!
It was clear Robert was no match for Matthew.
He was driven back step by step until he was finally kicked out, landing hard on the floor.
"Robert!" Mary screamed, rushing to his side.
Robert's pretty face was a mess, swollen and bruised, blood trickling from his mouth.
He coughed painfully, lying on the floor, unable to get up.
Mary's face went pale with fear. "Call an ambulance, quick!"
The butler finally snapped into action, dialing for help.
Matthew, radiating cold fury, grabbed Mary's wrist and started dragging her outside!
"Let go, let go of me!" Mary struggled with all her might.
But his ironclad grip felt like it was going to crush her wrist, twisting her face in pain.
She bit down hard on his arm!
Matthew's movement stopped, but he didn't let go. He just watched her bite him.
The taste of blood filled her mouth, and Mary, gasping for breath, looked at him with tear-filled eyes. "Matthew, why are you doing this? I don't want to see you. Let go of me!"
"Mary, have you forgotten who you are?" Matthew yanked her closer, his other hand gripping her neck, eyes flashing cold. "I told you, no divorce. As long as you're alive, you're mine. We ain't divorced yet, and you move into another guy's house? Are you asking for it?"
