Chapter 275 You Go to Jail, I Can Only Find Mary
He walked over, his shirt half unbuttoned, making his collar flip with every step. Shirley couldn't help but stare.
She'd seen it before, but now, catching glimpses of his chest muscles made her blush.
'Who is Herman trying to impress?' she wondered.
Shirley glared at him. "Didn't think you'd hold a grudge like this. Is this your game now?"
Herman got closer, noticing the anger in her eyes. Her chest heaved, and her eyes had a hint of redness, making her even more attractive.
She was already striking, but now she had an extra allure.
Herman felt something stir inside him but ignored it.
Shirley took a deep breath. "What will it take for you to let me go?"
Herman frowned at the meaning of her words, as if he were dying!
He raised an eyebrow. "Depends on my mood."
Shirley went silent.
She looked at him blankly, then sneered. "I'm done with this. Sue me if you want. I'd rather go to jail than play your games!"
She turned to leave.
Herman frowned. Was she really this stubborn?
Watching her walk away, he said, "What about Mary? If you go to jail, who'll take care of her?"
Shirley spun around, grabbed his collar, and pinned him against a pillar. "Herman, don't you dare touch Mary, or I'll fight you to the end!"
Herman looked at her, amused. "If you go to jail, I'll have to collect the debt from her. But for Matthew's sake, I won't charge interest."
Shirley gritted her teeth. "Fine, you win!"
She let go, stepped back, and said, "I'll stay until you let me go."
Herman straightened his shirt. "Then get back to work as my assistant."
Shirley held back her anger, turned, and left. Outside the tent, she exhaled in frustration, her eyes showing detachment. She pulled out her phone to log into her burner account but found no signal.
"What a dump!" she muttered.
Jenny had been waiting for Mary to be brought over, but instead, she got the severed hands of her two subordinates!
She screamed, pale with fear. "What happened? What the hell happened?"
The bodyguard who brought the hands said, "Ms. Johnson, they failed. Mr. Montagu sent these. He said you must personally apologize to Ms. Smith, or he won't let you off."
Jenny went on a rampage, smashing everything until the room was a mess. Only then did she calm down a bit.
But her eyes were full of resentment.
'How could this happen? Matthew wants me to apologize to Mary? That bitch doesn't deserve it!' she thought.
Jenny forced herself to calm down and called Donovan, tearfully explaining the situation but framing the kidnapping as inviting Mary over.
After listening, Donovan was silent for a long time before saying, "Jenny Johnson, I told you not to mess with that woman. Why didn't you listen?"
