Chapter 230 You Compensate

Matthew's strong arms lifted Mary, pinning her between the wall and his chest.

Mary struggled. "Let me go, you..."

Matthew grabbed her wrists, twisting them behind her back. She had no choice but to wrap her legs around his waist to keep from falling.

"Mary, don't you want to make love?"

His breath was hot in her ear, his voice low.

Mary stopped struggling.

Time passed before things finally calmed down.

Matthew picked her up, cleaned her, and laid her on the bed, holding her tight.

Mary couldn't even move a finger.

"Matthew, you're a bastard."

The room went silent.

Mary soon fell asleep.

Matthew stayed awake, looking at her tired face, kissing her nose, and holding her tighter.

For the first time, his heart felt at home.

The next day, Mary woke up feeling dizzy and sore.

She got up, and the blanket slid off, revealing marks on her skin.

She felt Matthew's gaze from the doorway, staring at her.

Mary got out of bed and walked to the bathroom, ignoring him.

Matthew followed, but the bathroom door closed in his face, almost hitting his nose.

He chuckled softly, a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

Mary came out wrapped in a towel and saw Matthew smoking on the balcony. He put out the cigarette and walked toward her, reaching out to hug and kiss her.

Mary dodged.

Matthew raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong?"

Mary's face turned cold.. "You tore my clothes. You owe me."

"Alright."

Matthew agreed and tried to kiss her again.

Mary dodged and said coldly, "What do you mean by this?"
