Chapter 590 Giving Up on Laura
"No! Don't do this to me, Matthew, I hate you!"
Laura's screams echoed from the room, revealing her utter despair.
Mary looked at Matthew and saw his calm expression. His eyes were fixed on her. She suddenly smiled, "She saved your life, even lost a leg for it. Now, seeing her like this, don't you feel any sympathy?"
A mocking smile appeared on Matthew's handsome and sharp face. "She brought this upon herself."
He stared at Mary's overly calm face and said, "I was never interested in her from the beginning, Mary. From start to finish, my interest has always been in you."
Mary withdrew her gaze and walked out, saying, "If that's the case, why did you want to marry her two years ago?"
Matthew took a cigarette from his pocket and lit it. As the faint smoke enveloped him, he squinted and said in a deep voice, "I never intended to marry her two years ago."
Mary paused. If he never planned to marry, why did Laura become his fiancée?
Mary wasn't curious about this, so she didn't continue to ask.
Matthew followed behind her, looking at her emotionless face, and asked, "Is this enough?"
Mary glanced at him, "Do you have any better ways to punish her?"
Matthew stared at her, "You say you wanted to take everything she desired. This is just the beginning."
Mary raised an eyebrow.
Matthew said, "Leave the rest to me. The outcome will definitely satisfy you."
"Alright, I'll wait."
After saying that, Mary entered the elevator and left.
Matthew didn't follow. Instead, he instructed the bodyguard, "Take good photos and videos and send them directly to the Sarah family. Tell them if they don't kick Laura out of the Sarah family, these things will be spread everywhere."
"Yes, Mr. Montagu." the bodyguard nodded.
After giving the order, Matthew pressed the elevator button and left. Punishing Laura only required a word from him. His priority now was to calm Mary's emotions. She must have been terrified.
That night, everyone in the Sarah family received the indecent photos and videos of Laura. After hearing Matthew's words, their faces turned grim.
"This is outrageous!"
Calvin Sarah angrily threw the photos on the coffee table, his face extremely displeased.
Stephanie Sarah also had a grim expression on her face as she said, "Calvin, Laura has never been a well-behaved person. Our family can't be dragged down by her. We should do as Matthew says."
Calvin became even angrier, "Who does Matthew think he is? Why should we do whatever he tells us to?"
Sophia, standing by, said, "Dad, you've seen Matthew's methods. If we really provoke him, he could wipe out our entire family just like squashing a bug."
The expressions of the others were equally serious. They had originally thought Laura could marry Matthew.
If that happened, the Sarah family's status in Lindwood City would surely rise. But now, with Laura's disgrace, she was seen as a burden, dragging the Sarah family down with her, unable to rise above the stigma.
Stephanie continued to persuade, "Calvin, I know you care about Laura. Let's do as Matthew says for now, and you can secretly help her out. We really can't afford to offend Matthew right now."
