Chapter 752 Take Away, Take Good Care
Mary glanced toward the warehouse.
Barbara was still pounding on the door.
She wasn't scared of getting caught anymore.
Thinking she had Mary wrapped around her finger, Barbara grew bolder.
Mary hesitated for a moment, then walked over and opened the warehouse door.
Barbara, looking annoyed, said, "Why haven't you sent me away yet? Mary, don't you want to know who your real parents are?"
Mary's expression stayed cold as she looked at her. "If you don't want to tell me, I'll find out myself. I don't need you anymore. I'll call those people to take you away now."
Barbara's eyes widened in shock. "You can't do this, Mary. I raised you for so many years. You can't be so ungrateful!"
Mary sneered, "You did take me in, but any gratitude I had for you vanished the moment you tried to sell me off multiple times. And now you have the nerve to bring it up?"
"You..."
Barbara was left speechless.
What should she do now?
Was she going to be taken away?
If that happened, she would surely die!
Barbara's face turned pale with panic. Her eyes darted around as she said, "Fine, if you don't want to know, I won't tell you. I'll leave right now and pretend I was never here!"
She pushed past Mary, trying to leave.
But a tall figure blocked her path.
Barbara took a step back, wary. "What do you want?"
Matthew's handsome, stern face was like a mask of ice as he looked at her. "So, you treated her that badly, huh?"
He didn't do anything, just stood there, but his powerful presence made Barbara's legs go weak.
Hearing his words, her face turned even paler.
"I had no choice. I was running the entire orphanage. If I didn't listen to Mr. James, he wouldn't let me continue. I was forced into it."
Barbara started making excuses, pleading her case.
Matthew replied, "Whether you were forced or not has nothing to do with me. I only care about her."
He pointed at Mary, then took out his phone and sent a message.
In no time, North walked in, his face expressionless.
"Take her away. Make sure she's well taken care of." Matthew gave the order.
North responded, "Yes, Mr. Montagu."
He grabbed Barbara's arm. Without seeming to exert any effort, Barbara cried out in pain and didn't dare struggle.
Barbara was quickly taken away.
Matthew walked up to Mary, looking at her calm, beautiful face. He said softly, "I got revenge for you."
Mary was speechless.
She walked past him without a word.
Matthew's deep voice echoed, "Mary, is your heart made of stone? How can you not react at all?"
"Yes." Mary paused, not turning back. "It's made of stone, so stop wasting your time on me. Let's get a divorce."
"It doesn't matter." Matthew walked over, a smile playing on his lips. "I have experience turning stone hearts into flesh."
Mary glanced at him. "You're persistent, aren't you?"
Matthew raised an eyebrow, his smile deepening.
Mary looked away and left.
Matthew watched her retreating figure, his eyes growing darker.
