Chapter 839 She Escaped?

No one paid any attention to Mary's meltdown.

Mary was on the brink of losing it!

She had been duped!

And now, not only was she unable to see Nora, but she was also completely helpless—she was blind!

What should she do?

What was she supposed to do next?

Confusion. Helplessness. Self-blame. Regret... These emotions overwhelmed her.

Mary crouched down in pain, hugging herself, trembling uncontrollably.

South and North had circled the mall several times but still hadn't found Mary. They realized something was seriously wrong!

South quickly reported the news to Matthew.

North contacted Maria, hacking into the mall's surveillance system to search for Mary.

Matthew's face was extremely grim!

Watching the surveillance footage, he saw Mary enter the women's restroom. Less than ten minutes later, a woman with a very similar build, but wrapped up tightly, walked out. He immediately said, "Switch the camera, follow her!"

"Got it," Maria responded, operating the system, but couldn't help wondering.

What was Mary doing?

Why did she go to such lengths to shake off the people Matthew had arranged for her?

Where was she going?

The surveillance footage kept switching, following Mary's figure, quickly tracking her to the outskirts of the city.

Maria said, "There are no cameras here. We can't track her location for now."

Matthew said in a deep voice, "Her phone has a tracker."

Maria looked at him in surprise, "You put a tracker on her phone? Aren't you worried she'll find out?"

Matthew gave her a cold look, "Is this really the time to discuss that?"

Maria quickly snapped back to reality and started locating Mary's phone.

"Found it!"

Soon, her voice came through, pointing to a location on the computer screen, "She's here!"

Matthew said coldly, "Get the car ready!"

Michael said, "It's ready. We can leave now."

Forty minutes later, several cars stopped at the entrance of a small courtyard.

Michael led the team inside, and moments later, he walked out with a grim expression, holding a phone.

"Mr. Montagu, the phone is inside, but she's not."

Matthew stared at Mary's phone, his expression darkening, a cold aura spreading around him, almost becoming tangible.

Michael didn't dare to breathe.

No matter what happened with the Montagu Group, Matthew always remained calm.

That was because he didn't care about the Montagu Group.

But Mary was different.

He cared about Mary; even if she got a small cut, he would be extremely anxious.

Now, she had disappeared!

And she had actively shaken off the people he had assigned!

What did this mean?

Did she already want to escape from him so badly?

Matthew closed his eyes, speaking in a deep voice, "Search everywhere. Have people secretly monitor all entry and exit points by land, sea, and air. Don't let a single suspicious person slip through!"

"Yes!"

Michael nodded.

Matthew took Mary's phone, his fingers tightening, knuckles standing out.

What did she mean?

Just divorced, and Mary wanted to run away?

Was he really that unbearable for her?

His heart ached. Matthew leaned back, adjusting his breathing, trying to ease the tearing pain.

At that moment, his phone rang.

He took it out and saw it was Herman calling.

He answered, his tone cold.

Herman said, "What's going on? I heard from Maria that Mary is missing. What happened?"

Matthew asked in a deep voice, "Where's Shirley?"
