Chapter 512 She Endures!

"Damn it! He hung up on me again!"

Shirley looked furiously at the disconnected call. She wanted to call back, but remembering that Matthew said Mary was very tired, she held back.

Once Mary was rested, she would complain to her!

Nearby.

Herman watched Shirley's angry expression and burst into laughter.

Shirley heard the sound, glanced at him, and walked away in silence.

A taxi happened to pass by. She opened the door got in, and told the driver the address.

She looked away, ignoring Herman.

Herman gritted his teeth. Shirley was getting bolder by the day.

Did she think he wouldn't do anything to her?

Herman took out his phone and dialed a number.

The car had just returned to the city when Shirley received a call from her studio boss, who started yelling at her!

"Shirley, if you mess up Mr. Adams' order, you can get lost too!" the boss finally roared in anger.

Shirley was just about to speak, but the call had already been hung up.

She was so angry she almost smashed her phone!

Damn it!

Could everyone just hang up on her?

Did they think she was easygoing?

Back home, standing by the roadside, Shirley took a few deep breaths to calm herself down.

She was just an ordinary person; she couldn't stand up to those rich people.

She gave up, okay?

Shirley called Herman, but he hung up on her directly. She called again, and it was still hung up. Shirley realized she had been blacklisted!

She endured it!

So Shirley sent Herman a message.

Shirley: [Mr. Adams, I'm sorry, I was too foolish just now and said something unpleasant. Please don't take it to heart. Here is my latest revised design draft. Please take a look and let me know if there's anything inappropriate, and we can discuss it further.]

The message was successfully sent.

Shirley sighed in relief. Luckily, she could still send texts; otherwise, she really wouldn't know how to get in touch with him.

The message had been sent, but he didn't reply immediately.

Mary felt much better after a nap. She woke up and replied to several messages. When she saw the missed call from Shirley, she hesitated about whether to tell her about the performance with Matthew.

At that moment, Matthew walked in, glanced at her, and said, "I advise you not to say anything. The fewer people who know about this, the less risk there is."

Mary pressed her lips together, then answered Shirley's call.

"Mary?"

Shirley asked tentatively, afraid that it wasn't Mary who answered.

"It's me." Mary responded, "I'm fine, don't worry."

Shirley sighed in relief. "It's good that you're okay. I was afraid you were hurt. But how did you being locked up there? Was it Victoria who did it?"

Mary responded, "Sort of."

Shirley spat, "The Montagu family doesn't have a single good person. Mary, let's leave Lindwood City. I'll go with you wherever. You have so much money, find a place where no one knows us, open a small restaurant, and our life will be happier than it is now!"

Mary suddenly lost the courage to continue. She tightened her grip on the phone.

"Mary?"

Seeing that Mary didn't respond, Shirley's tone became more anxious, " Was something wrong again?"

Mary closed her eyes and said, "Shirley, I can't leave for now."
