Chapter 125 Cursed Him Many Times

Herman jerked his hand back, startled. "Whoa, what's with that look? You wanna sign with them, too?"

Matthew glared at the two on stage before shifting his gaze to the front row. "Sam."

Sam stepped up immediately. "Mr. Montagu."

In a cold tone, Matthew ordered, "Shirley's here. Take her to the private room." Then he headed for the side staircase.

Sam nodded and made his way to the front row.

Herman was confused. "What's going on? Who's Shirley? Why are you taking her? Matthew, come on, tell me."

Shirley was in the audience, clapping like crazy, her voice almost gone from shouting, her face lit up with excitement.

Amazing! Robert and Mary were dancing, totally in sync, like they were made for each other!

Just then, Sam approached with a blank expression. "Ms. Hill, Ms. Smith is waiting for you backstage."

Shirley was surprised. "Why is she there?"

Sam shook his head. "I don't know."

Shirley got up. "Alright, let's go!" Shirley got up and followed Sam upstairs.

Once they were up there, the noise from below faded, and private room doors lined the hallway.

Shirley hesitated, a hint of suspicion in her eyes. "This doesn't look like backstage."

She turned to leave, but Sam grabbed her arm, opened a private room door, and pulled her inside.

When Mary came back, she didn't see Shirley in her seat. Confused, she pulled out her phone to call her.

Robert walked over, having removed his jacket after the dance, and showed off his muscular arms in a black tank top.

Mary frowned as there was no answer. Did Shirley go to the restroom and miss the call?

Robert noticed her concern. "What's wrong?"

"Shirley's missing," Mary replied.

Robert suggested, "Let's check the security footage."

Mary looked at him gratefully. "Thank you so much."

Robert smiled. "Not a big deal. We're friends now, right?"

"Yeah," Mary nodded.

They headed to the security room to check the cameras focused on Shirley's spot.

When they saw Sam, Mary's face turned cold.

Matthew's people had taken Shirley! Was Matthew seeking revenge for Laura?

No way! She couldn't let this happen!

Mary pulled out her phone, looked at the blocked number, hesitated, and then called.

After three busy tones, the call abruptly ended. Mary kept calling, but the other side kept hanging up.

Finally, on the fifth try, the call was answered.

In her mind, Mary cursed Matthew a thousand times, but she kept her tone calm. "Matthew, did you take Shirley? Where is she?"

Matthew's deep, magnetic voice came through. "A12." Then he hung up.

Mary closed her eyes, trying to keep her cool.

Robert asked, "Did Matthew take Shirley?"

Mary took a deep breath and turned to him. "Mr. Williams, I know where she is now. I'm going to find her. Thanks for your help. I can handle this."
