Chapter 606 Applying Medicine to Sean

The next day.

Mary arrived at the studio and saw Sean sitting at his workstation with a bruised and swollen face, his fingers clumsily tapping the keyboard.

She was shocked and walked over to ask, "Sean, what happened to you?"

Sean heard her and glanced at her, then smiled, but the action pulled at the corner of his mouth, causing his face to twist in pain.

"I'm fine," he said with difficulty. "Last night, after leaving your place, I ran into Mr. Montagu. He said he wanted to spar with me, so I went. Don't worry, I'm really fine."

Hearing this, Mary frowned, "Just sparring?"

If it was just sparring, how could it be this serious?

Sean smiled and said, "Yes, just sparring. I'm really fine. It just looks serious; it's actually just superficial wounds. Please don't argue with Mr. Montagu because of me."

A self-deprecating expression appeared on his face. "After all, it's just because I'm too weak."

Mary pursed her lips, then turned and left. When she returned, she had a few items in her hands.

There was an ice pack and some ointment.

She pulled over a chair and sat directly in front of Sean, saying, "Turn around, I'll apply the medicine for you."

Sean was slightly taken aback and shook his head, "No need, I'm really fine."

Mary's expression was very serious, "Do you want to face clients with that face? They might run away before you even get a chance to speak."

Sean smiled, then winced in pain, "Alright, I don't want to scare away the clients I've worked so hard to maintain."

He faced Mary, watching as she placed the ice pack in his hand, "Hold this yourself, put it on the corner of your mouth."

"Okay." Sean nodded.

He obediently pressed the ice pack to the corner of his mouth. The cool sensation alleviated the burning pain, and his eyes, filled with gratitude, looked at Mary.

Mary didn't look at him. Instead, she took out the ointment and carefully applied it to his cheeks and forehead.

"All done."

In no time, Mary had finished treating him. She placed the medicine in front of him and said, "Follow the instructions, and you'll be fine in a few days."

"Okay, thank you." Sean gave her a slight smile.

Mary looked at his smile and was momentarily dazed.

Suddenly, a memory flashed in her mind of when Matthew had just learned to write. He had written her name and looked at her with a face full of pride.

Mary felt a sudden pain in her heart and said, "I'll get back to work. If your hands aren't working well, just rest. Maria won't say anything."

"Alright." Sean watched her turn and leave.

He collected his thoughts, and soon his phone had a new photo. The sunlight was just right, falling on them. In the photo, Mary was seriously applying medicine to him, while he gazed at her with deep affection.

What a beautiful scene.

Sean found a number and sent the photo directly.

The DK Group, President's Office.

Matthew's phone buzzed. He picked it up and his expression immediately turned cold.

A dangerous glint flickered in his eyes as he smirked.

At that moment, Michael knocked and entered, saying, "Mr. Montagu, here is all the information on Sean. His mother is sick and hospitalized, and all their financial support depends on his job."
