Chapter 356 Divorce?
Mary gave a quick nod.
Sam whipped out his phone and made a call. After a sec, he looked at her and said, "I'll take you there."
Mary flashed a small smile. "Cool."
At the Regal Bar, Mary hopped out of the car and looked at Sam, asking, "Is Matthew here?"
Sam nodded. "Yep."
Mary's eyes got all determined, and she strutted inside.
The bar was huge, with three floors in total.
The first floor was the lobby, with a stage and booths, and it was the most poppin'.
The second and third floors were more private, usually packed with rich folks.
Mary headed straight to the bar and asked, "Which floor is Matthew on?"
The bartender looked confused and shook his head. "I dunno who you're talking about."
Mary frowned at that.
This guy didn't know Matthew. So she had to go upstairs and check each room herself.
Mary made her way to the second floor but got stopped by two beefy bodyguards at the stairs. "No entry without a reservation!"
Mary stayed quiet.
She turned to look at Sam, tilting her head slightly.
Sam walked over, stone-faced, and easily took down the two guys.
Mary ignored their pissed-off looks and walked straight up.
Sam trailed behind her.
The two bodyguards quickly called the bar manager, who was in a private room, respectfully hanging out with someone.
Hearing his subordinate's words over the phone, the manager's face darkened. He turned to Matthew, who was lounging on the couch, and said, "Mr. Montagu, sorry, there's a small issue I need to handle."
Matthew didn't say a word, just waved him off.
The manager rushed out and immediately saw Mary and Sam heading his way.
"Are you the ones who barged in? Think this is your house? Get out!" The manager rudely pointed at Mary's nose and yelled.
Sam stepped up, grabbed the manager's finger, and gave it a twist, making the manager scream in pain!
Mary glanced at the name tag on his chest and then asked, "Where's Matthew?"
The manager was stunned.
He trembled and asked, "Who are you?"
"Matthew's wife," Mary said calmly.
The manager was shocked and wondered, 'Mary is the legendary wife of Matthew? The woman who’s been tangled up with Matthew and refused to divorce!'
The manager's finger was still in Sam's grip, so he had no choice but to point to a private room door. "In there."
Mary walked straight over and pushed the door open.
Compared to the lively noise downstairs, the private room upstairs was super quiet, with dim lighting. Mary immediately spotted Matthew sitting on the couch.
Matthew had a cigarette hanging from his lips, his eyes half-closed as he looked at her. "Mrs. Montagu, you sure know how to throw your weight around."
Mary held back her emotions, walked over to him, and sat down beside him, asking straight up, "Matthew, why won't you see me?"
There were other people in the private room. Hearing Matthew's address, they were all surprised, their curious eyes darting to her.
Herman was chatting with a woman. Seeing this scene, he chuckled. "Aren't you getting a divorce? Why should he see you?"
Hearing this, Mary paused. Was he finally willing to divorce her?
Her eyes lit up for a moment, but Matthew didn't miss it. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he held the cigarette between his fingers, looking at her coolly. "Yeah, are we getting a divorce?"
