Chapter 309 Want to Strangle Her

But then she remembered they weren't divorced yet, so she picked up the call.

She thought, 'What if he's calling about the divorce?'

He had brought up the divorce before.

"Hello?" Mary said.

Matthew's deep, magnetic voice came through, "Where are you? I'll send someone to pick you up. Grandma wants to see you."

Mary felt a bit disappointed; he wasn't calling about the divorce.

She said, "Given our current relationship, it's not appropriate for me to see Grandma. Can you make up an excuse to turn her down for me?"

Victoria liked her a lot and treated her well.

She mused, 'But after all, she is Matthew's grandmother. What does that have to do with me?'

Matthew's tone turned colder. "I've already promised her. Mary, Victoria always likes you a lot."

Mary frowned, "But I don't want to go. Are you going to force me?"

Matthew's face darkened.

Matthew thought, 'She has just sold the house filled with our memories, and now she doesn't want to see my family. Is she that eager to sever ties with me?'

Matthew said in a deep voice, "Come with me, and I'll consider the divorce."

Mary paused, "Are you serious?"

"Yes," Matthew replied without any emotional fluctuation.

Mary immediately agreed, "Okay, I'll send you my location."

But Matthew hung up directly.

A trace of coldness appeared on his handsome, sharp face!

He mused, 'She agrees to the divorce in a heartbeat! What is she so eager to get out of there for? Aren't we doing just fine?'

Walking in and seeing Matthew's cold expression, Michael immediately asked cautiously, "Mr. Montagu, should we leave now?"

"Go pick up Mary."

Matthew stood up and walked straight out.

Michael immediately followed behind him.

Mary waited in the hotel lobby. When she got Matthew's message, she went out.

The car was parked right at the hotel entrance. She opened the back door and got in.

But the driver wasn't a chauffeur; it was Matthew.

He said coldly, "Sit in the passenger seat."

Mary didn't argue with him about this and followed it.

After she fastened her seatbelt, Matthew started the car and drove towards the Montagu Estate.

Mary looked at his handsome profile and asked, "Are you serious about considering it?"

As soon as she finished speaking, the atmosphere in the car turned icy, and a repressive aura filled the space, enveloping Mary in a chilling sensation.

Mary's long eyelashes trembled.

Matthew remained silent, but the car was picking up speed like crazy.

Mary grabbed her seatbelt and frowned. "Matthew, slow down."

She thought, 'It is rush hour. He is going way too fast. Is he out of his mind? I don't want to die!'

"Shut up!"

Matthew didn't want to hear her voice at all right now. Her words made him want to strangle her!

Mary shivered at his shout and looked at him inexplicably.

"Why are you being so mean!"

Matthew's face looked terrible, and the car sped up even more!

Mary didn't dare to speak again, fearing that if he got upset, he might crash into another car, and they could both die!

Finally, after a nerve-wracking drive, Matthew's car stopped at the entrance of the Montagu Estate.

The guard opened the gate, and he drove in.

Mary closed her eyes and said, "Matthew, I hope you keep your word."
