Chapter 33 Do You Want to Die?
"Mary, don't drink like this." Shirley was initially afraid that Robert might harm them, but seeing Mary in this state made her even more fearful.
Mary pushed her away, "If I don't finish, how will he let us go?"
She finished another glass, saying.
Robert's casual smile gradually faded, and his eyes grew even colder, with a hint of interest flashing through them.
This woman, who had been audacious enough to snatch things from him before, was now compromising so thoroughly.
But from her demeanor, did it seem like she was drowning her sorrows with his alcohol?
"Enough!" Robert impatiently uttered.
However, Mary didn't stop. She had already consumed five out of the eight glasses.
"I'm not done yet, no way." Mary shook her head. Her vision was already blurry at this point, but she accurately picked up another glass and started drinking.
"I said enough!" Robert suddenly stood up, grabbed her wrist, and snatched the glass from her hand, throwing it to the ground.
The glass shattered into pieces upon impact!
Mary's body swayed.
Shirley hurriedly supported her, "Mary, you don't need to drink anymore. It's okay; we can leave."
Mary blinked, her eyes stinging with tears. All she could see in her mind were images of Matthew holding Laura.
"How can it be okay? I haven't finished yet."
She mumbled, still trying to find more alcohol.
Robert chuckled in anger. Was this woman insane?
Had she come to his place to act drunk?
He directly grabbed Mary's wrist, "Do you have a death wish?"
Mary's fingers trembled, her tears falling directly onto Robert's hand.
"How could you let it go? As long as the marriage stays for a day, we're still couples. You can't do anything to betray me."
She muttered, and the more she spoke, the more tears fell from her eyes.
Robert was taken aback, abruptly releasing her hand. He looked at the tears on his hand, feeling inexplicably puzzled!
He turned to Shirley, "Hurry, get her out of here. Has she come here to go crazy with me?"
Shirley was also frightened by Mary's state, "Mary, stop it, let's go."
Mary pushed her away. "We're not divorced yet. How can you be with another woman? How?"
Hearing this, Shirley immediately knew it was about Matthew.
Shirley cursed Matthew a thousand times in her heart, once again reaching out to support Mary, "Mary, we don't need him. It's not worth being upset over a man like that. Can't you let him go?"
Mary's face was now covered in tears, "How could you treat me like this? What did I do wrong? Didn't I save you? If you want to repay her kindness, what about mine? Why won't you repay me?"
Robert had intended to leave, but seeing Mary in this state annoyed him. He suddenly grabbed her hand and started walking in a certain direction.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
Shirley saw this and quickly followed Robert.
Robert licked his lips and said, "Let her continue to go crazy here. If it affects my business, will you compensate me?"
Shirley was stunned and fell silent, but she still followed behind, remaining vigilant.
And at that moment, a figure suddenly swept past her, and the next moment, that figure directly snatched Mary from Robert's grasp!
Shirley was astonished, "What are you doing here?"
With his hand empty, Robert turned around to meet a pair of cold, piercing eyes filled with murderous intent.
