Chapter 123 She's Married!
Matthew paused for a moment and then said, "I'll have someone take you back."
Laura nodded. "Okay."
The driver arrived quickly, and as Laura got into the car, Matthew took out his phone and made a call. "Grab Shirley the first chance you get."
After finishing their steak dinner, Mary and Shirley went to the night market and wandered around, which somewhat alleviated their gloomy mood.
Mary linked arms with Shirley and sighed, "Shirley, how about you leave the country now?"
Shirley shook her head. "No, I'll stay here with you and protect you so that Matthew can't bully you."
Mary said, "Would you marry me?"
Shirley replied, "Okay."
They both laughed.
"What a coincidence." At that moment, a playful voice sounded beside them.
They both turned to see Robert, with his bold blue hair, walking towards them with a smile.
Mary was surprised, "Mr. Williams, what are you doing here?"
Robert replied, "I'm a regular here. The pasta is delicious over there. Mention my name for a discount."
Mary said, "Really? I'll go check it out."
As she was about to walk over, Robert, with a mischievous smile, said, "Not just the pasta place, the dessert shop, and the wing shop over there; my name works, too."
Mary didn't actually go over. Instead, she said, "Mr. Williams, I didn't expect you to have such a wide network. It looks like I'll be saving a lot of money when I dine here in the future."
Shirley added, "Me too."
Robert chuckled and asked, "Wanna hang out in my place?" He was referring to a bar.
Shirley's eyes lit up, "Is there a new show?"
Robert replied, "You'll find out."
Shirley quickly turned to Mary, "Let's go. I want to see it!"
Mary nodded. "Okay, let's go!"
They left the night market in a car and headed towards the bar.
Inside the bar, quite a few people were already there, colorful lights flashing. No one was on the stage, and when the DJ saw Robert, he immediately vacated the spot.
Robert looked at the bar manager and gestured, "Bring them some non-intoxicating, tasteful drinks."
The manager nodded quickly, "Yes, Mr. Williams."
Mary's eyes also lit up, "So you're the owner here. Does this mean I have a powerful backing now?"
Robert replied, "Yes, you can have whatever you want."
Shirley teased, "Oh my."
Mary changed the subject, "That won't do. If your girlfriend finds out, she'll definitely kill me."
Robert's smile faded, his devilishly handsome face taking on a more serious expression. "I don't have a girlfriend. No rumors."
Shirley gave him a meaningful look.
Mary didn't continue on that topic and asked, "What's the new show about?"
Robert gave her a deep look and said, "Tonight, I'll be dancing on stage."
"Wow!" Shirley covered her mouth, "I've heard Mr. Williams is an amazing dancer. Today, I finally get my chance."
Robert added, "But I need a partner. Without one, I won't dance."
As he said this, his gaze was fixed on Mary.
Feeling a bit helpless, Mary thought to herself, 'I am married!'
Shirley nudged her, "Mary, I remember you can dance. Come on, I want to see Mr. Williams dance. I'll do whatever you want!"
