Chapter 619 Designing the Wedding Room
She opened the file and saw that the contact's last name was White, which made her eyebrow twitch.
She immediately took out her phone and dialed the number.
It was a string of unfamiliar digits, which inexplicably put her at ease.
"Hello."
However, when Michael's familiar voice came through, Mary felt a wave of discomfort.
"Why is it you?"
Michael was also taken aback, "Ms. Smith? Is there something you need from me?"
He feigned surprise, but in reality, Matthew was right next to him, and the phone was on speaker.
Mary said, "I received a commission to design a villa. Did you buy a villa? Are you getting married?"
"Well..." Michael was stunned and looked at Matthew.
Matthew just looked at him coldly, waiting for him to respond.
Michael braced himself and said, "It's like this; I didn't expect the commission to land in your hands. What a coincidence."
Mary said, "What are your requirements? Tell me, and I'll write them down."
Michael looked at Matthew again, who still showed no change in expression.
Michael was internally screaming; he had no idea what to say!
Could he even afford a villa?
This was ridiculous!
"Um, Ms. Smith, how about this? Let's meet in person or do an on-site inspection. It might help inspire your design." Michael thought for a moment and said.
Then, he cautiously observed Matthew's expression. Seeing no change, he breathed a slight sigh of relief.
He guessed right.
Asking Ms. Smith to meet was the right move!
Mary agreed, "Okay, are you free this afternoon? Send me the location of the villa."
Michael replied, "I'm free. I'll send it to you now, and we can discuss it when we meet."
Mary nodded, "Alright, goodbye."
"Goodbye."
After hanging up, Michael exhaled a breath of relief.
Carefully observing Matthew's expression, he said, "Mr. Montagu, I have a meeting this afternoon. Could you go in my place?"
Matthew gave him a cold glance, "You're busier than me?"
Michael awkwardly smiled, "Well, I was slacking off before, and today I want to be more diligent."
Matthew coldly responded, "Then I'll reluctantly help you out."
Michael said, "Thank you, Mr. Montagu. I'll get back to work now."
"Alright."
Michael turned and left the office, his fake smile disappearing instantly!
In truth, he just wanted to work hard and earn money.
In the afternoon.
Mary arrived at the community with her measuring tools.
This was a newly developed villa community in Lindwood City, surrounded by mountains and water, with a beautiful environment. It was the only natural oxygen bar in Lindwood City.
With such good climate conditions, the land had long been bought by the DK Group and developed into a villa community.
Currently, prices were skyrocketing, and every inch of land was worth its weight in gold.
Mary stood in front of a large open space, looking at the vast, barren land ahead, and pursed her lips.
Development hadn't started here yet, and the surroundings were still in their natural state.
At that moment, the sound of a car engine caught her attention. She turned her head and saw an expensive Panamera pulling up beside her, her expression turning colder.
Matthew got out of the car, wearing dark sunglasses, no tie, with two buttons of his shirt undone. His tall and straight figure exuded an air of nobility.
"Why are you here? Where's Michael?" Mary asked.
Matthew walked up to her, looking at her through his dark sunglasses, "Why can't I be here? Why should he be here?"
