Chapter 523 Sean Fainted
Sean furrowed and said, "Is there anything more important than your life?"
Mary, unwilling to discuss the matter further, changed the subject, "Your wound shouldn't get wet. When you get home, avoid spicy food to prevent infection."
Sean gave her a deep look, knowing she was changing the topic, and didn't say anything more.
The car soon arrived at the entrance of Maple Grove Manor. After getting out, Sean went in after Mary.
Mary said, "This is far enough. You should go back now."
Sean replied, "No way, I need to see you to your home to feel at ease."
His worry was too evident, leaving Mary unable to refuse.
She nodded and turned to walk inside.
As they exited the elevator, Mary said, "Thank you for bringing me back. Would you like to come in and sit for a while?"
Since he had escorted her, she felt she should be polite.
Sean shook his head, "No need. Now that you're home, I'm relieved. I'll head back."
Mary stood at the elevator door, "Thank you so much for today. I'll treat you to a meal another day."
Sean nodded, "Alright."
Just as the elevator doors were about to close, Sean suddenly collapsed!
Mary's pupils contracted sharply at the sight, and she hurriedly went in to support him, urgently asking, "Sean, what's wrong?"
Sean furrowed tightly, "I'm dizzy."
Mary helped him out of the elevator and into the apartment, letting him sit on the sofa. She then asked, "Is the dizziness severe? Are you feeling unwell anywhere else?"
Did he injure elsewhere?
If she had known, she would have insisted on a full-body checkup.
Sean didn't speak, his face visibly paling, as if he had no strength to talk.
Mary, in a panic, took out her phone to call for an ambulance.
Seeing her actions, Sean said with difficulty, "I'm fine. I just need to rest."
Mary's expression was very serious, "Really? Don't scare me."
Sean smiled weakly, "Really, it's nothing. Just sudden dizziness, maybe from low blood sugar."
Seeing his insistence, Mary didn't call for an ambulance and decided to keep an eye on him for a while.
She went into the kitchen and made some honey water, bringing it to his lips, "Drink a little, it might make you feel better."
Sean took the cup, "Thank you."
Mary got up and went into the kitchen to start cooking.
Hearing the sounds, Sean turned his head and saw her busying herself with an apron on. A faint, dark emotion flashed in his eyes.
However, he quickly concealed it and resumed his weak demeanor.
Mary prepared a sumptuous meal.
When she came to the living room, she saw that Sean was feeling much better, and his face was no longer as pale.
"Are you well?" Mary asked with concern.
Sean nodded, "I do feel much better."
Mary breathed in relief and said, "I made some food. Come and eat."
Sean looked at her in surprise, "You can cook!"
Mary nodded, "I always cook for myself. I find outside food unhygienic."
Sean nodded, "True."
He walked into the dining room.
Seeing the delicious food, his eyes lit up.
Mary served the food and placed it in front of him, "Try it and see if my cooking suits your taste."
