Chapter 475 I Have Also Prepared a Wedding Fund

The next day, they headed to the hospital.

Victoria had already finished breakfast, and Linda was sitting beside her, chatting away.

"Grandma." Matthew walked in and softly called out.

Victoria's face lit up with a smile when she saw him.

"Matthew, you're here." She grabbed his hand and, looking at his handsome face, suddenly said, "Matthew, you look different. More grown-up."

Matthew's lips curved into a faint smile, "Isn't it good to be more mature?"

Victoria nodded, "Sure, it's nice. But I still miss the way you were when you were little, carefree, always following Samuel around with that grumpy face. Anyone else would have smacked you, but Samuel spoiled you."

Matthew's smile faltered for a moment.

Victoria then noticed Mary and asked, "Why is she here again?"

Matthew said, "Grandma, she's my wife, Mary."

Mary looked at Victoria, "Grandma."

Victoria's brows furrowed, and she let go of Matthew's hand, "Weren't you supposed to marry Laura? I thought she was very steady. Why did you marry someone else?"

Her attitude clearly showed more displeasure, and her gaze towards Mary turned colder.

Mary felt like her throat was being choked, feeling extremely uncomfortable!

Matthew said, "Grandma, you lost two years of your memory. The reason you think I've matured is because the me in your memory is from two years ago. I'm 27 now."

Victoria was stunned, "27?"

"Yes." Matthew responded, "At that time, deciding to marry Laura was both a mistake and an accident. Now, Mary is my wife, and she will be my only wife for the rest of my life."

Hearing this, Mary held her breath.

Victoria still couldn't accept this fact, "How is that possible? I remember you swore you would marry Laura. I even prepared a wedding fund, and now you're telling me two years have passed?"

Her expression was blank, showing disbelief.

Matthew sighed helplessly, "Grandma, take your time to process this. A lot has happened in between, and I'll tell you everything slowly, okay?"

Linda then said, "Alright, let your grandma rest."

She stood up and pushed Matthew and Mary out of the ward.

After closing the door, her face was full of disapproval, "Matthew, even if you want to tell her, you should take it slow. Your grandma just regained her old memories and is very unstable. What if you tell her everything directly and she gets stimulated, causing more complications?"

Matthew said calmly, "She's going to find out eventually, so why not just get it all out at once?"

Getting stimulated, it was better to do it all at once.

Linda shook her head in disapproval, but since it had already happened, she couldn't say much more.

"Let's observe for now. Your grandma's condition is very unstable," Linda said.

Matthew responded, "I'll arrange for a caregiver to stay and look after her. I have work to do, so I'll leave now."

Linda looked at Mary, "You should go get busy too. If anything happens, I'll notify you immediately."

Mary nodded, glanced at the direction of the ward, and reluctantly left.
