Chapter 642 Wiping Her Down
Shirley was stunned upon hearing this, looking at Herman's handsome and devilish face, she couldn't help but laugh.
"Mr. Adams, have you been infected by Matthew? All your actions are just to satisfy your own twisted pleasures without considering others' feelings. What? Is this a tradition in your circle?"
Herman's eyes darkened slightly as he pulled her in front of him, "Shirley, are you being so serious because you're afraid of falling for me?"
"How could that be!" Shirley instinctively retorted, "How could I possibly like you?"
Herman's face darkened a bit more, but he still said, "If that's the case, what are you afraid of? What are you avoiding? The two of us being together is just about enjoying the moment, our bodies are compatible, our souls match, isn't that enough?"
Shirley opened her mouth but couldn't find a rebuttal for a moment!
That was right!
Their bodies were indeed very compatible, and being with him often gave her a unique pleasure.
Sensing her waver, Herman continued, "So, don't worry about those things, just enjoy."
Shirley lowered her eyes and said, "But even so, it should be based on mutual consent. I don't want to right now, so don't force me. Can you do that? If not, then it's just your one-sided pleasure, and I won't feel it."
She pulled her hand away forcefully again, this time successfully, "So, why should I play this boring game with you?"
Herman squinted, mutual consent for pleasure?
How long would he have to wait for that?
Staring at her bright face, Herman smiled and said, "Shirley, could this be an excuse? Are you still thinking about leaving Lindwood City?"
Shirley's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she said, "Mary is here; I won't leave."
She could only think that to herself, 'Besides, what does it matter to him whether I leave or not?'
She was afraid he would go crazy and really imitate that bastard Matthew, causing some troublesome things.
Herman walked up to her, looked at her seriously, and said, "That's for the best. I can wait, but my patience is limited. Shirley, you'd better give me an answer soon."
After saying that, he walked past her and left.
Shirley didn't look at him, but her brows furrowed.
What answer?
It certainly couldn't be a rejection.
What he wanted was her agreement, her willingness to have sex with him.
But she didn't want that.
What a hassle.
The hospital room was silent.
Mary lowered her eyes, clearly knowing why Herman had suddenly appeared.
It must have been Matthew who called him over to take Shirley away.
Matthew, still as nasty as ever.
It was one thing to pester her and not let go.
But he dragged Shirley into it, making Shirley and Herman's relationship increasingly complicated.
Mary closed her eyes, slowly turned around, and didn't look at him.
Matthew finished his emails, closed his laptop, and then went straight to the bathroom.
After a while, he came out with a basin, with a towel inside. He rolled up his shirt sleeves to his elbows, wet the towel, wrung it out, and began to wipe Mary's body, starting from her cheeks and moving to her neck and arms.
Mary frowned and avoided him, "I don't need this."
