Chapter 269 Matthew, Your Subordinate Is Bullying Me
"Who are you? How dare you block me? Believe it or not, if I tell Matthew, you'll be fired!"
Jenny's slap shocked everyone. Mary's brow furrowed instantly and she looked at Michael.
Michael, though Matthew's subordinate, hadn't bothered her. They weren't close, but she was still mad.
Matthew's face darkened.
Michael calmly smiled at Jenny. "I don't believe you."
That one line made Jenny's face twist with anger.
She glared at Michael, then looked pitifully at Matthew. "Matthew, did you see that? Your man is bullying me!"
Matthew's face turned cold. "I'm not blind."
Jenny's face froze. "Matthew, I'm sorry about before. I was just joking with Ms. Smith and didn't mean for you to get hurt. I couldn't sleep knowing you were injured. I begged my dad to let me see you. Are you badly hurt?"
Jenny tried to get closer, but Michael, already slapped, didn't move.
Jenny stopped a few steps away, watching Mary support Matthew, filled with jealousy.
She cursed silently in her mind, 'That bitch Mary is so lucky! Why didn't she die? What a pity!'
Matthew's cold eyes looked at her. He told Michael, "Contact Donovan. We'll talk when he keeps his promise."
"Understood!"
Michael responded immediately.
Matthew headed to the elevator, with Michael blocking Jenny.
Jenny's eyes widened. "Matthew, what do you mean? My dad apologized. Why are you still holding on? She's fine, and you only got a minor injury. My dad even killed my favorite pet. You still won't forgive me?"
She started crying, looking severely wronged.
Matthew ignored her, entered the elevator, and as the doors closed, looked at Michael.
Michael, knowing what was coming, quickly smiled. "Mr. Montagu, don't worry. She didn't hit hard. I didn't mind."
Matthew said, "Double your year-end bonus."
Michael's eyes lit up with joy.
He thought, 'Getting slapped and doubling my bonus? Worth it!'
"Thank you, Mr. Montagu!"
Michael was practically dancing with excitement.
Back in the suite, Matthew ordered, "Don't let her up here again."
"Yes."
Michael nodded and went to give orders.
Donovan had promised to ground Jenny for a month, and Matthew let it slide because of the diamond mine.
But it had only been a few days?
Jenny was already out.
Since Donovan couldn't discipline his daughter, he'd face the consequences.
Mary poured Matthew a glass of water, placed it in front of him, and turned to leave.
Matthew stared at her. "Don't you have anything to say?"
